So here's the deal gang, I recently said in a video "There's no easy way to memorize all the notes" I was wrong! This whole video is a correction to that statement because I am the kind of guy who can admit when I'm wrong. I'm so awesome and morally upstanding. Hope this helps.

So, I'm an idiot and I couldn't for the life of me remember which notes didn't have sharps, even though it's literally two letters out of seven, until - UNTIL, right - until I remembered that episode of The Simpsons where Homer has that barbershop quartet and they're called "The Be Sharps", and B and E are the two notes which don't have sharps. Thanks again, Simpsons, for adding value to my life. And thank you, Kevin, for teaching me how to not get a girlfriend but to sort of muddle through knowing a pentatonic scale.
  • I really like your No BS approach to teaching. I would definitely buy your online course if you had one, no matter the price :)

I've recently bought an electric guitar even though I have no clue about guitars as I play the piano (nothing serious, just amateur) and it was extremely intimidating to wrap my head around the basics and terminology. But you explain everything in the most concise and easy way to understand. Kevin, if you're reading this, and I hope you do... I'm forever grateful for the amazing effort you put up in your videos and I'll be anticipating more videos from you in the future. Your channel is criminally underrated ! Your channel's now on my radar, fucking subscribed mate ! ❤

I started guitar about the time you dropped this vid and I was recommended you early on. I wasn't sure about your channel at first since it seems you're building it currently, but after watching many videos I can honestly say yours are some of the most clear, simple, and entertaining. Thanks man
