this guy speaks spirituality in a way as clear as crystal
  • @gregorylent
if spirituality is about freedom, moksha, there is no greater freedom than freedom from spirituality

This is one of the most important videos I've watched because I keep struggling to understand why we're even bothering with our suffering if there's no one there to suffer but I wonder this when my separate self is "active" and so it drives itself crazy trying to understand this. So I'm glad Rupert is making the distinction that there is suffering but we only say there isn't once we understand and FEEL that there's in fact no one there to suffer.

Rupert, you are doing a great job! You are very attentive with you own teaching. That is what i like very much! And no worries. Youtube helped me alot. ;)

Buddhas first sermon was addressed to common people who were very much identified with their separate selves.his compassion took their suffering into account. His whole journey began because he acknowledged suffering. Who says buddhism denies suffering? They are always exhorting you to end suffering

I am so thankfull that i know this wonderfull person. He is so clear. And no guru potentials like some enlightend beings.
  • If you want to know what a good example of an Oli would be, look up Jim Newman. Most of his answers in Satsang are “there is no me” and then he looks at the floor like a pouting child until someone else asks a question. You can’t even properly converse with him; that’s how far he takes this nonsense neo advaita approach. He’s completely denying everyone the apparent existence of a separate self and cuts their questions short. Sometimes he even snaps at seekers because they don’t agree with him — hence the disabled comments under all of his videos. I’ve been checking him out and struggling with his “teaching” in the past couple of days. Perfect timing, Rupert. Thank you for teaching real Advaita and not just mechanic, nihilistic nonsense.

This piece gets off to a slow start buttons ends brilliantly. I am impressed. ☯️🕉🔯☸️♒️🥰

A metaphor helped me: its like you believe that you are a hand, only that but someday you discover that you are the whole body.

Ollie is a transparent phenomenal self-model, not a person. So one could actually claim that "there is nobody here" although Ollie answers "Here I am".
  • There is no ultimate truth seen as a statement of understanding. Then the understanding is an obstacle in itself

Rupert is referring us to check on Tony Parsons or Jim Newman. Yes, they are pointing directly to nonduality/emptiness. They don't say there is no suffering. They say that there is apparent suffering that is apparently happening to noone. As Rupert says, it should not be taken out of the context.
