I am not a DR. or an addictions professional. This video is my personal account of my experiences with drugs and alcohol, addiction and recovery in my own life only. Below the video, in the description box are some direct links to various free recovery programs that are most likely in your area. Everything in this video is from my own personal experiences and does not directly represent the views, opinions of any one of these programs, methods or treatments designed for relief or harm reduction from drug and alcohol addiction. I sincerely hope some of this helps someone in some way. Thank you all for your continued, unconditional love, support, patience and understanding. I am in no way, special or an authority on these subjects just an addict currently abstinent from drug and alcohol abuse. This video is not condemning drug or alcohol use of any kind and is not intended to recommend total abstinence or any other specific views, methods or opinions regarding recovery in any form. It is again ONLY my own personal experience, I know only a little. If you are in the middle of chaotic drug or alcohol abuse and do not wish to quit now or ever please check out some tips from the "Harm Reduction" community. harmreduction.org/ No matter what your decision or method there is help! Don't give up, stay safe, stay alive! Love You! Thank you again.
Sincerely
Jason Ricci

  • Addiction is not always drugs and alcohol, there are many destructive behaviors that one can be addicted to. This video is something that everyone needs to see.

Jason, it's very kind and thoughtful of you to share this. You are a very generous person to share your knowledge on playing the harmonica and the personal challenges you have had. You have, no doubt, helped many people.
  • Dude I came here looking for a harmonica lesson and found a wonderful 'lesson on life'. I was riveted on your story and journey of sobriety ... Continued success and sobriety, you are an inspiration! Bless you! Slick
  • I am a Harmonica player and an alcoholic. Sober 43 years in AA. I am 86 years old and pretty sure I will never take another drink for the rest of my life one day at a time. Thanks for sharing and helping others. That is the best way to stay on the road to recovery. I really like your music.
  • Thanks for sharing, I am the 113 like, glad you are still here with us, thanks for the lessons and the videos, I am a fan!
  • Right on, brother. Thanks for having the guts for putting it all on the line and out there. You are going to hit some folks that this message is going to make all of the difference - today, tomorrow and through the miracle of modern tech - years from now. Love and light. That is all there is and all we got.
  • Thanks for the mini lead, brother Jason Friend of Bill’s since January 28, 1999 here Alcohol was my deal I remained completely “sober” until I was prescribed ssri for depression 15 years in, , then I became a zombie, so I dropped the meds and switched to cannabis , never looked back We are all different “Drugs” is a tricky term So is “addiction” For a long long time I was completely addicted to being non addicted to anything....couldn’t really fully immerse in anything..... I was addicted to politics... to the gym... to my own thoughts🤡 “I don’t do drugs... I AM drugs” Dali

  • Man I was injecting EVERYTHING I won’t say what. But I have scars all over my arms. I put the needle down after finding out my first child is on the way. After failing thousands of times since I was 14, I’m now 29 and been off the needle for almost a year. Still take suboxone but I plan to quit that when I’m ready.
  • @nerenahd
I started playing harmonica in 2017 and your playing got me instantly hooked. So, I always watch your videos, hear your stuff, etc. I knew most of this from previous videos, podcasts, etc, but this video is awesome. I hope it helps other people. Cheers from 🇧🇷 brother.
  • Bro. I come from buxton Maine. All there was to do was hangout drink and drug. Was completely dependent on dope and prescribed pain meds until I left Maine for Nashville. I then started suboxone and am still battling. Much love and respect
  • Thank you, Jason. Thank you for sharing your story. This is from the heart. Thank you Brother, it really works in my case the same way. (AA)
  • April 2023 will be 12 years for me, I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT WITHOUT THE TABLES ! It'll be one of the toughest things you'll have to do but the benefits you will get if you listen to what they tell you will be amazing. YOU HAVE TO DO IT FOR YOURSELF THO!
  • You are so right. Easier to stay clean then become clean. You are appreciated in so many ways. This is JUST one.
  • @jonhockenbury30
Thanks Jason ... I'm a grateful recipient of all that you have given back!
  • Thank you Jason. Your story is my story in so many ways. I’m so happy for you and your sobriety. Love and respect.
  • Very brave for you to share. Thank you for this lovely candid talk
