To be honest I think Adele was genuine when she complimented James. Sure he sometimes sings too loud and not perfect but he’s not the worst singer and he’s into it and enjoying it and usually the celebrities seem to feel at ease with him as well :)

I think James cordon being 'worse' at singing helps carpool karaoke tho. Grounds it more and makes it seems like a more normal situation rather than pitch-perfect studio vocals

Not wanting James to sing along with singers in Carpool Karaoke is like getting mad at talk show hosts who have a cooking segment with chef, for not cooking as well as the celebrity guest they invited. Honey... the logic 😂
