  • This… is surprisingly heartwarming. No betrayals, they become friends. That’s rare in movies these days.
  • But if you die within seconds of going outside it's not exactly what you would call an irrational fear of going outside it's very rational.
  • Finally, a survival movie that doesn't end with everyone dying and leaving you in a state of depression.
  • Enrique was surprisingly a good side character. He didn't backstab the ML and had a logical mindset. You don't get that kind of thing with today's movie.
  • I like how Enrique is so goal-oriented. He will do everything to achieve whatever deal he agreed to. Ruthless to a certain degree but definitely someone I trust won't breach a contract.

Aw. Enrique's death was sad, honestly he was such a good character.

Irrational fear of going outside. They die within seconds. Lol I’d say that extremely rational.

The fact that there is still food in the cafeteria is amazing

The most unrealistic part of this movie is the fact that the GPS never loses signal.
  • I really appreciate the realism in the details of the weaponry in this movie. For example, when he shoots the gun in the sewer, and his ear drum bursts, or when the bear attacks and they use the fire to keep it at bay, finally using the bear's weight against itself with the spear (This is actually the proper way to kill a charging bear with a spear)

I remember watching this movie. It turned out to be a very good one. I felt bad for the parents left behind. It was good (inspiring) that they found a way to live within that building......but I felt bad that they were left alone, in the end. I think it would have been better for the "kids", who were able to go outside, to have stayed around and just rebuilt a society that also included their parents, who could not go outside their buildings. I think that would have made for an interesting new society. But that wasn't the vision of the moviemakers.

Would've been a cool ending if he named his son Enrique as a way of remembering his boss who was afraid no one would remember him when he died.

I'm wondering if they could get around the panic by going outside while inside a portable tent or even a human-sized bag. Can they drive cars? Motor homes? Campers? What if you build covered walkways between buildings? They seem fine at open windows and doors, so apparently all they need are three walls and a roof.
  • This would make a great series. Teens sent out where adults can't go. Exploring a new world. I basically want another the 100, that show was so good.
  • "an irrational fear of going outside. If they do, they die within seconds." Sounds rational as hell to me
  • Allthough not perfect and having flaws this movie is a good example as to why international, casual-movies should get more, global recogniton. People really should give movies from other countries a chance more often.
  • All your movie recaps are very good! And surprisingly most of these are underrated movies that I might only had a chance to watch when riding a public provincial bus! Thank you!

“They develop an irrational fear of going outside. If they do, they die within seconds.” Sounds like a perfectly rational fear to me.
