One of the things that amuses me most about this game is if you get injured, your health goes down... but your health meter and your hunger meter are the same thing - so if you literally get hit by a meteor, it won't kill you, it'll just make you hungry.

Jack playing Subnautica is my go-to comfort playlist. Some people watch The Office on repeat....I watch Subnautica. BUT if he puts another 10 hours into this one, I could easily end up with another comfort playlist.

Please, I'm BEGGING YOU Jack! I started playing this game too and you have only scratched the SURFACE with this first video. It's INSANE how much more there is. You're gonna LOVE this and I'd LOVE to see you play it to the end like Subnautica
  • The landing gave me flashbacks of “Detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms in the region. Are you certain whatever your doing is worth it?”
  • "I wish I could make more of these instead of just one at a time" -Jack while not reading the 'chain crafting' popup at the bottom of the screen. XD

This is actually a pretty interesting game concept. In fact, it feels like Astroneer met Subnautica and they had a child

48:15 "I don't care about a ladder" LIES! you were so proud of your collapsible ladder ages ago, I'll never forget
  • @bearb0ness
oh jack you've gotta keep playing this! it takes a while and it's a bit of a grind (you can afk) but you get to actively see the world slowly transform (grass grow, water form). super worth it imo!
  • Pls make this a series, it’s so satisfying to watch the planet go from a desolate wasteland to a thriving earth like planet
  • @tatsuo367
So nice to see this game getting attention. The dev team is just 2 people! Husband and wife. Bit of a grind but a fun game
  • @xipherzen
Jack: “There’s no sun in the sky!” Giant blue glowing planet: “am I a joke to you?”
  • @Jessejames7321
Could you please continue to play this for us? My wife and I picked up this game just last Saturday and have put 60 hours in to it already, we became so addicted to it because her favorite game is Subnautica. We both got the notification that you played it at the same time and called each other immediately.
  • Little tip for the future Jack: you don’t have to put everything in/next to/on your base. The power sources power everything on the planet, and the heater and vegetube are generating heat and oxygen for the entire planet, not just your base
  • @Koamoments
Hope this is an dedicated series that jack will regularly play! It has a lot of play-time to go into the game, so it could be a good lets-play series.
  • I’m not someone who likes commenting on social media for a lot of personal reasons but on the very very off chance this is seen I’ve spent a majority of my life sick, injured, or bed rotting which that’s not what I’m commenting to talk about but I know a few weeks ago you posted that video talking about not feeling missed when taking breaks or needed but for me genuinely from my absolute worst days you and your videos were there to make me laugh and smile I loved growing up watching you grow into the person you are and watch your creativity grow with you so I genuinely want to say your videos helped me through some of the hardest parts of my life and I just want to say thank you for all that you’ve done and all that you’ve accomplished I know the community that you’ve built is truly beyond proud of you and thankful for everything
  • @ShayedSays
PLEASE play through this whole game Jack, it's actually got a really beautiful story and the gameplay loop is extremely satisfying. Planet Crafter has the best experience I've ever had for actually being able to see my progression and how it changed everything around me as I went along. Amazing game <3
  • Hey Sean, Chemical Engineer here (or studying to be one at least) here is a rundown of your units for the game ppq= parts per quadrillion (you got this correct) pK = pico-Kelvin a unit of temperature that is relatively similar to Celsius (just add 273 degrees) nPa= nanoPascals a unit of pressure that is EXTREMELY SMALL, like a trillion times smaller than the pressure on earth Ti= Terraformation index, it’s how much you have effected the planet Degrees of magnitude (in order of size) Nano: n 1/1000000000 Micro: u 1/1000000 Mili: m 1/1000 Centi: 1/100 Deca: d 10 Kilo: 1000 Mega: M 1000000 Giga: G 1000000000 Anything fallowed by a /s means per second, same with /m being per minute, /hr for hour, so on and so forth Can’t wait to see the rest of the series😊
  • @Gabetastic
