I'll have a full playthrough of the main game again as Ms. Chalice going up this week! Subscribe to be notified when it goes up

The fake knockout is one of the most clever ideas in this game, a lot of creators fell for it
  • @Impeldown77
People were complaining that the DLC was too short, but they don’t realize how much effort is put into the hand drawn animations…AND ITS ONLY EIGHT DOLLARS!!
  • I like the subtle detail with the “fake” knockout - when the announcer says the actual “knockout”, he clears his throat before saying it
  • The way that Miss chalice casually swaps mugman’s life at the beginning is exactly the chaotic friendship I like to see from these cartoons (this game’s a vibe)
  • @Isaac-xs7tx
Jack is the first creator I saw that actually acknowledged that the king's tourney was chess pieces and I'm so happy
  • 1:08:35 OMG i love this ending! In the epiloge he starts to actually enjoy helping others, remakes his bakery, becomes everyone friend AND finds a way to revive chalice! The three are non ghost in the last picture!
  • i believe one of the reasons the DLC took so long to come out is because the studio refused to put its employees through crunch, which sets a great example for how game development SHOULD be. it’s a shame crunch is so normalized in general but good on them for breaking that trend.
  • I also think it's clever that you essentially build Chef Saltbaker's boss fight as you go through the DLC, by collecting each ingredient, which function as his attacks.

This DLC in itself was just beautiful; Im glad the team has taken their time with this DLC cause all the animation was gorgeous. And it was such a treat to watch Jack play Cuphead content again. It's always been one of my favorite playthroughs of his <3 And im excited to see him play more soon!

I love the design of the fake-out knockout. Like the classic “flies to honey” saying but it’s on a bug trap. It’s just screaming “I’m a trap” but you fall for it anyway because you’ve been lulled into a false sense of security via every single one of the previous fights and you are ecstatic after finally “beating” this boss. So rude on the creators parts, but still very clever

That moment you realize the bosses were actually preventing you from nabbing their ingredients to prevent Chef Saltbaker's evil plans...
  • @mythmage8231
"Aiming these cannons is a joke" Hits a triple headshot immediately
  • @thedooddirl
Those “transitions” are literally called “inbetweens.” Key frames are drawn for key changes in movement and then an inbetweener will come and draw all the subtle movement changes from one key frame to another.
  • Something Ive noticed- each cut scene in the dlc had fluid motion. This wasn't in the original game! It would read like a book with simple picture but here we see the characters mouth move along with their bodies. Even the act of salt baker turning and slamming the knife down. I think the dlc took a lot of care being made and I'm glad they put as much thought as they did in it!
  • This Cuphead DLC was oozing with quality, the music, animation and fights were all top notch, and seeing Jack and all other youtubers play out the fights is hilarious.
  • 5:06 Saltbaker:"But remember- like any good bake, Heart and Soul is the secret ingredient!" Some times, foreshadowing is obvious
  • @foxhitsdrums
why is no one commenting on how perfect the King's death screens are? The horse, which moves in an L in chess, says "'L' for you" and the castle says "beating you was straightforward"; the castle moves straight forward in chess, etc.
  • 41:53 I just noticed that for the airplane level, the far background that flies by never repeats. Not once. That’s a crazy level of detail and dedication in right there.
