Another sad-bastard song. This one's an especially heavy hitter, as it was co-written by Mike Reid, a former all-pro Defensive Lineman for the Bengals. Legend has it that he wrote it after reading about a man who got arrested for shooting at his girlfriend's car. When the judge asked if he'd learned anything, he replied "Yes, your honor; you can't make a woman love you if she don't." I didn't have much success, either, as you can see by the books all over my studio floor as I seperated one collection of books into two.
