Drilling oils are used both as lubricants and coolants during drilling.

This ensures a smooth drilling process in the process lengthening the life of your drill bits.
In addition they also ensure clean cuts on metal.

In this video I am exprimenting whether you can also use Vaseline as a drilling fluid.

Other fluids that I have used include;
Cooking oil
Brake fluid
Dirty engine oil
Lawn mower oil

From my observation, the cooking oil and the brake fluid did the best; they showed the signs of the metal curly-Qs which, as I understand, is the sign of good cutting action.
