"Armed with will and determination ... and grace, too." You'll be missed, Gord.

Buffalo NY loves the Hip! Thank God we live so close to Canada!
  • Minnesota fan of The Hip since 86', they blew my mind then and have continued my whole life. Several concerts and more music than any other band I own. Miss them all dearly. I'll see ya somewheres down the road Gord.
  • Fucking Gordie was the fucking man. No other front man like this lad. Was so lucky and fortunate enough to see them in Syracuse, NY in front of about 2,000 fans. Was unreal.

one of the most unique voices out there, I was so sad when I moved to Texas because The Hip and Sloan don't come down here! Come to Dallas!! you can stay at my house.

Rock In Peace Gord. A true Canadian Icon. I’ll always remember the first Hip song I ever heard. Blow At High Dough, it was on an HMV promo tape. My brother met you guys in Eugene Oregon the morning after a concert at your bus a long time ago. You all signed a shirt for him and Gord wrote Evil with an arrow pointing up. Lol. He was at the front of the stage. He and his friends were the only ones that new all the words. Miss ya bro, RIP.

They have blessed me with their talents and story telling now and will in the future and for that I Salute You!Thanks Guys your simply the Best.
  • Perfection, I still watch the movie of the last tour and dance and can’t help but cry, it’s like a soul cleansing, you just want to soak their music and energy into every cell of your being, what a band like no other. So much love and heart, they were such a national treasure, I’m so envious of Canada! You had Trudeau and the Hip, while we had Kanye and Trump, LOL! Bless Gord, but he sure left this Earth showered with so much love. His legacy lives on, he made the world a better place.
