Guilliman had a sense of humour. Not a good one, but he had one

"Dude was playing 4D chess by himself while everyone else was playing rugby" That’s probably the best description of Alpharius and the alpha legion I’ve heard so far. Doesn’t matter how smart you are when you fall into the gorilla enclosure...

There are some funnier facts. I think Luther said in his novel that Lion is a great singer, he learned how to copy any animal sound, that’s why he can sing so well. Perturabo liked to make art. He still made it a competition with his step brother who was the greatest artist of the time, and actually lost a final statues making contest. Yes. The man actually beat primarch at something. Konrad cruixified thousands of rats on a ship taking him to Tsaguelsa. Yep. Hundreds of tiny crosses with rats impaled on them. Angron had a dog. Corax’s step mother stopped him from nuking his enemies. Guiliman was unable to squish a coin when he was little and cried when accidentally hurt his adoptive dad. Jagahai writes poetry. Horus grew out his hair and beard as Warmaster because he kept forgetting to shave. Lorgar learned to manipulate people by making them think they are manipulating him. Worlds half the time he tries. To name a few. I have to re read the novels to find more but you get the deal.

The mental image of Perturabo sitting in his power armour hunched over a table painting miniatures for his board game makes me happy for some reason.

Other fun Lion facts: He was into wine and had his own vineyards. He was also apparently an incredibly gifted singer and maintained an impressive collection of weapons from different cultures across the ages.
  • as an alpha legion fan the image of Alpharius sitting there with a 4D chess board then suddenly getting dive tackled by Rogal Dorn out of nowhere is utterly hilarious to me!

Vulkan played Battlemace 42 Million inside the deepest darkest corner of his room at Nocturne to pass the time while wait for the Salamanders to find all Nine Artefacts and gather them together. So he will finally sneakily exit, go to space and board a Drop Pod to land and before his sons for a reunion.

Rogal Dorn was fond of the blanket which was a gift from his surrogate grandfather who adopted and raised him in Inwit, and kept it by his side. Even after he had grown massive that towers over normal humans and Space Marines.

Angron is by far the biggest tragedy of the Primarchs to me. Literally created to help others, more so than any other Primarch, and yet has been cursed to live a life of pain and conflict, not only for himself, but for others. He got fucked hard, and not in the good way.

Imagine how ridiculously OP Mortarion would have been, if he had embraced his psychic powers. He would have been the tankiest primarch, one of the physically strongest, among the stealthiest, wielding one of the most powerful weapons, and have been the second most powerful psyker. I am genuinely convinced he would have given Sanguinius a run for his money.

2:20 It's crazy that Fulgrim decided to be a warrior than a diplomat and bureaucrat since he was able to bring Chemos back to peace and prosperity without conflict. And he would have gotten along with Roboute, who did a similar thing with his 500 worlds.

Somehow the most absurd thing of all is the thought that while the Horus Heresy raged across the Galaxy, Guilliman was cosplaying as Horus and bullying his soldiers.

I wouldnt call Lion's perception of the emperor the most true, He is practically seeing himself in his perception. Which is supported by his HH ego and that everyone sees the emperor as what they want to see him as. Only one that has made Emperor uneasy with his perception was Corvus. He described how emperor looked back on terra and it made emperor uneasy like he had hit too close to home.
  • How about “The Imperial Truth, The Imperial Creed, and The Ecclesiarchy EXPLAINED by an Australian” or “All the Ways You Can be a Heretic?”
  • @elmine7707
Primarch 11 was actually really good at the ancient Terran pass time of Hackysack, best in the Galaxy, thats why Biggy E had to erase him.
  • Angron without the butcher's nails is actually a cool and interesting character

I like (hate) how the fun fact about Ferrus Manus isn’t even about the man himself, but about Fulgrim’s relationship with / outlook towards him, and about a bunch of clones, which as mentioned elsewhere in lore (and covered by MajorKill) are only ever at best a shadow of the original due to lack of warp-infused secret sauce from the emperor’s recipe. Like, I’m not even an Iron Hands fan, but the dude has so much potential for character development, it’s starting to look kinda brain-dead by GW / Black Library for not just hiring a good writer and giving them the brief: “this guy punched a dragon and got special metal arms, he’s insanely good at building shit, now go write his whole backstory.” Like, even more than Perturabo, he’d be perfect to go on some side quest during the Crusade or Heresy involving Dark Age of Technology shit, AI, interacting with the Leagues of Votann, maybe a prelude encounter with the Necrons. Hell, have him chance to meet up with Trazyn in which they eventually discuss Ferrus’ theories of how it might’ve actually been possible to return the Necrons to an organic form, but then Ferrus suddenly gets an urgent transmission to report with his legion to Isstvan V, the end.
  • Always figured the Lion was seeing a reflection of himself since the Primarch are aspects of the Emperor.
  • @Szminsky
Didn’t Corvus see the actual true form of the emperor for just a brief moment?
