Terminator plate is exceptionally powerful - but did you know there is actually quite a wide variety of it in the setting of warhammer 40k

Angron having modified terminator armor but a 3+ armor save in the original HH rules makes me think the modifications were just "if we make it worse he can fit in it."

All Space Marine Terminator Armours are pure unadulterated awesomeness.

Bit of a lore correction that confused me but now kind of makes sense The Saturnine plate isn't actually the big shoulder pad meme Terminator armour, for some reason everyone just thinks it is, including google - those big silly Shoulder plate terminators are just a super old variant and to be honest are probably close to what the special Vulkan crafted Terminators looked like No one knows what the Saturnine plate actually looks like

The Dark Age of Technology must have had some seriously hard core miners ... - for them to need walking tanks at work.

TTS Dark Mechanicus tech priest: "This is getting harder than Terminator Armour!"
  • @DarkSoulsReject
It's like the old book says, "Terminator armor is the astartes equivalent to being forklift certified."
  • @mintyaroma987
Tartaros Terminator armour is still used en-mass by the Thousand Sons in their Scarab Occult Terminators. Whether the Thousand Sons are just using magic to keep the suits intact whilst rebinding the dusty boi in them after taking casualties, or whether they have the last functional production line to manufacture more of them is yet to be revealed though!

Idea for you: how did the imperium and the galaxy react when the emperor was intured upon the golden throne? The primarchs were super depressed and the custodes stripped (that's not a joke they actually did) but how did everyone else take it?
  • Minor correction about Gorgon Terminators: The Conversion fields inside it don’t exactly store up the energy, they convert incoming energy, photonic, thermal, kinetic or otherwise, into flashes of blinding light. So shooting a Gorgon Terminator is essentially the same thing as flashbanging yourself. The Iron Hands that wear them are basically miniature dreadnoughts, as not only is a shitload of cybernetic augmentation required for you to properly interface with the suit, they’re basically surgically bonded to it, meaning that once an Iron Hand puts on a suit of Gorgon Terminator armor, he never takes it off.

Tyranids with sharp claws that tear through armor: exists Terminators in Space Hulks: "We're in danger."
  • @yamahadrag69
I know it's not Astartes but, would the Votann's Hearthguard armor technically be Terminator plate? Granted it would be more closely related to the mining suits worn in the Dark Age of Tech that Terminator armor is descended from.
  • @casbot71
"Hey Mr Tech Priest, can you reverse engineer this ancient Terminator Armour?" ...that's heresy - the response of the Tech Priest.
  • @ChadmasterDante
Vulkan's master crafted siege terminator suits were explicitly kept safe from the dropsite massacre and were used during a siege on a world eaters production planet shortly after. Theres a whole short story about it

Terminators are cool, I've always loved the heavy armor aesthetic and I hope everyday that Perturabo makes a return to the setting with a new model and his legion, because if anyone has the heavy armor to get a job done its the Iron Warriors. Also I want to know more about the logos, it wouldn't surprise me if its the most advanced suit of armor in the entire galaxy, especially since perty hasn't had much to do but sit around and tinker with it and make other armors while he's been sitting on the sidelines for ten thousand years. You know those Iron boys going to have some seriously chonky tools at their disposal when they return...
  • @CommanderBohn
Termies will always be iconic. As iconic as Beakies.
  • @Kreevox
I always figured the Saturnine's design was to allow the mounting of heavy artillery, as shown by the gun above the head and between the shoulders.
  • @LuigiC2
I'm actually so happy that you made a terminator lore video as I love terminators
