FFXIV How To Macro Collapsing Hotbar Menu

this is sick, way cooler than what I do (which is just 2 layouts with buttons on one of them)

I don't think I've ever watched or played an online mmo before, so I think trying to keep track of all of these buttons would fry my brain

One small correction, you CAN copy to/from shared hotbars. instead of CURRENT or WAR or ARC, you use SHARE instead. I actually use this heavily so that all of my "collapsible menus" are on shared hotbars. This means that for me, in addition to having all of the class hotbars available for copying setups around, I have the non-shared version of 4 hotbars for every job as well. I personally prefer to keep my basic 1-2-3 combos as those numbers, but for something like Samurai that has multiple combos that obviously isn't feasible, with 8 single target GCDs and 3 aoe GCDs. so I have those skills on the non-shared version of Samurai Hotbar 10, 9, 5, and 4, and each single-target bar has a macro on 4 that moves me to the next hotbar in sequence. It's kind of like the crossbar or using shift+key or control+key, but instead of holding extra keys which I find awkward for my hands, I shift around which buttons are on hotbar 1

This is awesome! I figured you can also add /hudlayout # to each of the job macros in case you have different HUG layouts for each role!

That clean UI trick is very smart, but I still look at my hotbar a lot for my lesser used buttons.

so no, you dont HAVE to make the menu shared, but if you want that menu to be able to expand and hide away like I have it

I have a hotbar vertically as well, I just wanna know how to add to that hotbar stuff that I can access easily

What's the macro you are using on your job stones to equip the jobs? I'm using just defaults dragged from build templates but I'm feeling like I'm missing smt
