Great vid guys! One small thing, operating temperature is -10 to 50 degrees internally. When the battery drops below 0 degrees you'll see reduced performance output. Thankfully, when that happens as the system starts charging/discharging it will generate it's own heat pretty quickly to get that output back at what you'd expect. All our equipment is IP65 rated and fine to be fitted outside, all we ask is that you also fit a small canopy above to stop any debris culminating on top of the system restricting airflow. Thanks!

Amazing video as always. Editing is a new level.

The question everybody wants to know the answer to, but nobody seems to know for sure is:- can you connect more than one of these batteries?
  • @Aphova
If only they could sort their software out because the hardware and specs seem solid. Do you guys do Fox ESS at all? Heard good things but they don't seem popular so wondering about that.

Ben , When are you doing the video on the powerwall 3 ?
  • @helipeek2736
0:25 I’d be more concerned about the EMP from the nuclear blast than the functionality of a gateway, which would have been fried.

Is the battery made up of smaller modules? I was thinking that in 10+ years time, if its degraded below a usable point can you just replace a module (or modules) or do you need to get a completely new battery (which maybe a lot more efficient in 10 years time)

Was told to avoid the Giv Energy when I went through with the sales guy. Apparently had non-stop problems with them and Heatable wouldn't recommend them.

It’s not all in one if you have to have a gateway with it too. All in 2 !

Save yourself the headache and get a powerwall instead of this. It's now on version 9 of the battery firmware and there are still SoC issues that they cannot seem to fix. Beta software seems to be the theme for this company.

its good but you can't put it outside so big thumbs down from me
  • @edc1569
I don’t want to be rude, but the idea you can fairly review anything is a bit much.
  • Thumbs down. You can’t have more than 1 connected so limited on battery capacity, it’s not compatible with other Giv inverters and batteries, it can’t go outside, support won’t be great. Mickey Mouse product sadly.
