i dont think Lukas is playing the kids. he tells Shiv that he wants the deal to happen fast so he doesn't get caught by the SEC, and in Norway when he figured out Rome and Ken were trying to tank the deal he got pissed for the exact same reason (bc he needs the deal to happen fast).

If you think this is a rouse by mattison that would be horribly writing. Let’s be real it makes no sense even if it is. To fake numbers by that size even as a ploy is moronic cuz the second it gets out the board will question it even if it’s proved fake. There is no way that is beneficial for mattison. I like to think Mattson is giving Shiv what Logan didn't - trust - in comments like "You can fix it, right?" it seems like he's trying to play towards her emotional vulnerability whether he means to or not. Subtly making her think that she can take control of the whole situation.

Shiv's gonna fumble so hard at the conclusion of the series. The horse she bet on turned out to be just horseshit. She had a palette cleansing with hubby from which there's no coming back.

It would feel very anticlimactic that Mattson is basically telling a stranger, member of a rival family, something so critical for his own business and career. Why he would do that?, because Shiv is funny?, because he is too cocky thinking the Roys are dumb?, I don’t think so, he is clearly hiding something.
