One thing about it, with the firebox surrounded by the water, only heat escaping out the system is through the chimney, not sure if water will alow enough heat to build for the secondary chamber to ignite, in a rocket mass heater, the firebox and heat ruser are insulated with refractory to keep that draft going, pushing the rest of the smoke and cooler heat through the rest of the system.
