Yep it's this game again. This is my favorite vertical shooter :D. It's so pure and perfectly balanced, no complex score/chain system bullshit, just shoot and don't get hit and don't die.

The Arcade taught me a lot about history. This game here shows us how one intrepid P52 Mustang sank most of the Japanese Fleet at Midway. The cat laser weapon, that was classified.
-
This game was made in Japan and it's about an amarica plane shooting down Japanese battle ships and planes

Tone Kaga Ayako Fuso Akagi Daihiryu Ise Hiryu Ayako again... Mutsu Daihiryu again... Yamashiro Soryu Ayako a third time... Nagoto Yamato DANG! This guy should be US Air Force Employee of the Month!

That's what i call world-class piloting there! Great job in beating 1943!

The most contradictory thing about this game is that 1943 is a game created by the Japanese that exalts one of the greatest defeats of the Japanese navy in all times. This proves that in 1987, the year the game was created, the trauma of the 2nd World War had already been overcome, and, even at that time, relations between the United States and Japan were already very friendly.

My dad was a pilot during the pacific war and he asked me about this game. He said that there was no rule wheee you had to stay at the same altitude

One of my fav game in 1990’s. With 20cent I can play till last level. Evokes nostalgia!
-
Brings back good old memories of my time playing this particular game in an arcade on Westmoreland Street in Dublin, Ireland - I used to be able to complete all the levels in my lost youth.

WOW, simply amazing ! Congratulations. Spent a LOT of money as a teenager and did not even come close to the end. Outstanding !

Damn impressive bro. This is my all-time favourite arcade game, played probablly 500+ times over the years, and I can't get past wave 8 on 1 quarter, and it usually takes me $2 to kill the Yamato, I die like a dog during the final aerial stage, but you were dodging like a boss. Grats. I will have to apply what i've seen!

It's 1987 in Japan, and a Grandpa takes his Grandson to an arcade... Grandson: Look Grandpa, a new shooter game with planes above the sea! Grandpa: Oh god, I was a pilot in the Japanese army during WW2! This is kind of bringing back some rather negative memories! Grandson: What do you mean, Grandpa? Grandpa: Oh, nothing. Just go ahead and play it. I'll go buy us some sodas.

Holy shit!!!! One of the best games of my childhood!!!! I was never ever able to pass the last level!!!!!

The last time I went to a family reunion, there was a Harley-Davidson arcade machine and this game was part of that machine. I enjoyed playing this game a lot on that machine when I was at that family reunion.

I played this game a lot when I was fifteen years old. This one were one of my favorite games, thanks for the vídeo. Adriano, from Brazil.
-
Your aircraft carrier gets taken out at the start? Holy @$!# that makes it ten times more heroic. I only played the NES version so where that detail wasn't added.
-
It made me remind myself playing that, course, when I was teen. I'm trying to install this game and I'm really looking forward to make that again. Congratulations GG!
-
WOW! That was some EPIC gameplay. Never thought anyone would or even could finish this game. Nicely done my friend, thanks!

My brother and I used to spend so much money in the arcade playing this game. We had cheat code too where you had to ‘enter’ before each stage, but holding the joystick at certain direction and pressing A and/or B. 😀

You know what's funny, the Battle of Midway was actually in 1942, not 1943.

this game gives me nostalgia because I literally played this on a fake NES and loved so every day when I came from school I hop on this game
