Don’t mind me, just pre-grieving the end of this show.
-
In the end it was a double funeral: One for Logan and the other for Roman's ambition to be CEO.
-
The polio story reveal is the final link connecting Logan and Kendall. Logan doesn’t know if he killed his sister but carries that guilt, same with Kendall and the car accident.
-
Roman’s funeral breakdown was both immensely satisfying and terribly sad. Then his nihilism at the end in the street bookended it. I knew he’d deliver a tour de force, and he more than exceeded my lofty expectations. Hail Keiran Culkin. And that scene with Mencken being surrounded by the sycophants, favor-seekers, and deal needers was like something from a Bugs Bunny cartoon. “How ‘bout me, boss? And me boss?” Political satire at its finest.
-
My gosh, Caroline is bloody cold! No wonder why these kids have issues. But I must say, her rallying together all the main and side chicks together front row was comedy gold.
-
Kerry and Carolina scene was 100/10 probably the most wholesome and emotionally mature scene in the entire show
-
I actually cried during Roman's breakdown. This is exactly how it feels to lose your father and finally have it sink in at that moment. This was one of the best episodes in the series, in my opinion.
-
Ewan showed a lot of class, I expected him to tear into him
-
It was only a matter of time before Roman broke down, It was like a ticking time bomb
-
Tom is going to become the CEO, he was the only one that didn’t make the funeral because of work. Logan was mad Kendall came to visit him on his bday, imagine what he’d think about attending a funeral.
-
dude the acting in this episode?? emmys all around
-
This was Kieran's season and this episode is the pinnacle of his acting prowess. I don't ever remember sobbing as much as I did during Roman's eulogy. Just terrific. Give that man every acting award under the sun.
-
The scene where Kerry is invited to sit in the front row is just AMAZING in terms of its emotional power. One of the best scenes in TV history. Whoever wrote that scene and dialogue deserves an Oscar!!
-
There was someone in the car with Mattson while he was on the phone with Shiv and that's THE KEY…he didn't specifically tell her that she would be the CEO, he's going to betray her.
-
Roman way of seeing the world was shaken by the loss of Logan. Now he basically just want to watch the world burn with his father. He's not afraid to be in pain and spread that to everyone else too, which makes him truly dangerous at this point.
-
Fascinating reversal of Kendall & Roman. I knew Roman’s grief was coming, but did not expect it like this. Not a fan of Mattson or Mencken. Kendall is very Michael Corleone in this episode!
-
The last scene of this episode, where Roman almost seems unconscious about him getting himself in the aggressive mob, his flight to the masochistic way he has been treated all his life, to be mentally & physically beaten up, is such a hurtful sight to witness. You can tell this is what he was used to experience as being the youngest Roy sibling, and be doing so again, is creating heartache & goosebumps. Well done, writers & cast.
-
Romans breakdown, which we’ve been anticipating all series, was so heartbreaking and masterfully done
-
This episode and Connor's Wedding episode are my absolute favourites. Kieran better win that Emmy because watching Roman this episode was tough 😭
