Hey Chester, it's almost April 2024 and nothing has changed. We're still listening and forever will be. We miss you

It's so surreal that we are still hearing new music from Linkin Park after all this time. I remember first listening to Linkin Park. I think it was around 2003 when I was staying at my cousin's house on the weekend and he introduced music from Hybrid Theory to me. I instantly loved the music and went to buy the album on CD at a store to play in my walkman. I would listen to all the tracks while riding the bus to and from school every day. As soon as I heard about Meteora's release, I bought the cd for that as well. Eventually, I upgraded from the walkman to an MP3 player and would load all the songs on there and continued to listen almost daily. Linkin Park's music was my first real introduction to music and got me listening to other bands. Fast forward to August 2014, I was able to go to a Linkin Park concert for the first time, which was also my first ever concert. Their live performance was amazing. I wish I had gotten a closer seat but couldn't afford better at the time. Linkin Park will forever be my favorite band. Their music got me through so much in my childhood and my 20's. The day I read of Chester's passing, I felt shocked. I saw a headline and immediately though "no this has to be some fake articles from some site like "The Onion". But then more and more news outlets were posting articles about his passing... and I was floored. That entire day, I felt empty. I felt as if I had lost a family member or close friend that day. After his passing, I couldn't listen to Linkin Park's music without instantly tearing up. I still do sometimes but I'm able to listen to everything now without as much trouble. Anyway, if you've read this far into this random comment from this nobody on Linkin Park's video, I appreciate it lol. I hope everyone is having a great day / night wherever you are and just know that you matter and you are loved.

The day Chester died, a part of millions of people also died. It still hurts, but we're still fighting.

Anyone else cry when then saw this video. Im 40 been listening to LP since the beginning. I was in 9th grade i think. Huge part of my life. Hearing chester was gone was like losing a loved one
  • I lost my cat, also named Chester, just 7 days after this was released... Had him for 16 years, and we had been listening to LP together since I was a teen. Both Chester Bennington and my cat Chester had been major mental health boosts in my life and I'll forever be thankful for them.
  • Those first seconds watching them listening to Chester "without him" totally got me... So many years later and i still got goosebumps hearing his voice.

The line "Hurt the ones we love" feels so personal, like he knew dying would hurt his friends, but he was in an equal amount of pain..

When I'm sad and depressed, I donโ€™t go to any other Park. I visit Linkin Park... ๐Ÿ–ค
  • Seeing Chester again recording, smiling, dancing around... God damn, thank you for keeping this takes (and song) well saved and giving it to the world now, it feels so warm ๐Ÿ’œ

How many unreleased Chester songs are there still? We want all of them

Tell me the words I've forgotten What we were fighting for? Staring right into the darkness Through an empty open door Can't put back what's been broken Can't change the moment We went too far We're pulling apart for no reason We're pulling a trigger in a useless war And if we come back and go into the black (black) What are we fighting for? What are we fighting for? ๐Ÿ˜”I was supposed to protect you No matter what's to come But somehow forgot when they told me We hurt the ones we love๐Ÿฅบ Can't put back what's been broken Can't change the moment We went too far We're pulling apart for no reason We're pulling a trigger in a useless war And if we come back and go into the black What are we fighting for? What are we fighting? It's just friendly fire, fire Fire, fire We're strangers in between the darkness Diving underneath I'll find you out on the horizon We'll never be enemies Can't put back what's been broken Can't change the moment We went too far We're pulling apart for no reason We're pulling a trigger in a useless war And if we come back and go into the black What are we fighting for? What are we fighting? โคโ€๐Ÿ”ฅIt's just friendly fire, fire Fire, fire Fire, fire Fire, fire โคโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ
  • In these occasions it's as if Chester came back for a moment to hug you, say goodbye and say: "I told you I wouldn't leave forever". RIP my friend.๐Ÿ˜ขโค
  • No matter how much time passes, where I go or how old I get, Linkin Park will always be so close to my heart.
  • @sassyh1935
This mustโ€™ve been so hard for the group to do this. But thank you, we still need Chester.
  • Some days its like he's still here. We miss you so much Chester. EDIT: Thank you for all the likes. I really meant what I said. I've been going through a tough time with my girlfriend recently, and this song really speaks to my emotions right now. Because like the song goes, I do question a lot, about what it is we're actually we're fighting for. And I wonder why it is the ones we love that hurt us, and we want to hurt back. Its fucked up. But this song helps to put my mind at ease so much. For some inexplicable reason, Linkin Park always seems to come around when I need them the most. Thank you guys so much for releasing this.
