Trivia Murder Party 2 is much better for international audiences since they added the option to remove US-centric questions. So for me as a European, getting questions about US history or celebrities in the first Trivia Murder Party often lead to me and my friends just looking at each other asking ''who?''. But now we get the mix of ''Oh I know this!'' and ''Oh god what is this!?'' a lot more often and it feels way more balanced for us that aren't from the states.

every single time me and my friends play jackbox its "hey wanna play jokeboat" "jokeboat fucking sucks ass but hell yea lets do it i love jokeboat"
  • Joke Boat will always be my favorite jackbox game for simply being so bad it’s good. Since there’s no opportunity to make good jokes the game turns into utter nonsense, which I find to be an absolute blast
  • My main issue with joke boat is not only the restrictive openings, but also how FEW there are. If you play it a few times you will notice there are not very many and its not very replayable despite almost being great

6:45 I jumped into a jackbox twitch stream playing tmp2, became the audience cuz why not, and then Won the game because I was the only audience player. I for sure laughed my ass off.
  • The thing that makes TMP 1 and 2 for me is how the selection of trivia seems to be meaner. There's no more "skill gap" based on who's more in tune with pop culture since a lot of the questions are designed to be a little BS so that you spend more time playing minigames and the chance of dying is actually there. It also makes it so that when you do get a question right, either by sheer luck or actually knowing it, its all the more sweet.

i usually prefer to be the detective over being the alien. but i’ll never forget watching two of my friends get into a HEATED argument with 1:30 left on the clock, accusing eachother of being the alien. i was the alien and just let them go at eachothers throat😂
  • To be honest, I absolutely loves Joke Boat despite the fact that I fully agree with your review of it

I vividly remember the first time I saw Among Us, on a livestream someone was watching, and thought "this literally just looks like Push the Button with a Newgrounds budget."

Jackbox 6 is one of my favorites. I love Role Models, Trivia Murder Party 2, and Amon- I mean push the button.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Party Pack 6’s menu, I love the way it comes together
  • @ThatisThomas
something about push the button that i personally love is the visuals as time progresses, stuff as the glitches (ranging from the text, the hourglass, dode, and even the controller), the players freaking out in the waiting room, the timer getting progressively more dramatic, and even the rooms getting a little bit messy. this game really makes it feel like everyone is going to die and i really love it
  • @DaNintendude
I COMPLETELY forgot that Push the Button existed. We never pull out Party Pack 6, because no one really liked any of the games when we played it. A big flaw is that I only ever play with my family. If I got a great group of friends--- or heck, even just strangers my age--- together, I bet we could have an absolute blast with Push the Button. I seriously need to try this pack again keeping the stuff about Role Models in mind as well.

The more I rewatch this series of videos the more I realise how much Silo doesn’t like people who play Jackbox muted 😭😭😭 it’s understandable I just think it’s funny how much it’s brought up hehe
  • @MotobugGaming
Your reason for disliking joke boat is actually why I love it. Trying to make these ridiculous jokes work creates a lot of funny moments where you can tell the person just gave up. As an alternative to quiplash I think it succeeds.
  • I wanna say this- I bet you lot that both Trivia Murder Party 2 and Push the Button were meant to be the pack's big stars, while Joke Boat, Dictonarium and Role Medals were meant to be the shorter supplementary games to balance out with TMP2 and PtB's potentially long lengths. Because you know, it's a goddamn pack. Also, I love the fact that they expanded the LORE for the serial killer.
  • @ZeroScore
Dang the shade...my friends and I love Joke Boat. It's not perfect, but the prompts can make for great jokes if you're clever and we love the little sayings each character can pick for their intros. "I'm a little patio set!"
  • @zenithzv
Your complaints about joke boat are the exact reason why i love it so much. I feel like the fact its so restrictive makes any joke you wanna make seem extremely unhinged and its hilarious
  • @Imirui
Part of the reason that the killer in TMP2 is more audible is that his voice filter is applied in post, rather than being baked into the clip itself. You can go into the game files to hear Spencer's voice unaltered. It just adds the filter on when it's played back in the game engine.

I love the game, but I’ve had Trivia Murder Party 2 ruined for me by playing with several people who have memorized the entire question roster, making it nearly impossible to win without also cheating yourself. Things like this are what ruin all trivia based Jackbox games, especially when they get played on streams.
