Auto generated captions: the planet is Arrakis, also known as tuna I’m not disappointed.

"He who controls salt & pepper, controls the universe."
  • That movie had such an impact on me. I was just 10 in 1984 when the movie released in France and forced my mum to take me to the cinema. Of course, she regretted it after the 10 first minutes but yes, I'm 46 today and still love that David Lynch's vision of that timeless scifi masterpiece. I'm looking forward to seing Denis Villeneuve's vision 👍

Must've been tough trying to make a sci-fi come to life back then. Now days we have almost infinite possibilities with CGI

Can't understand why everyone says Dune is crap. I think it's brilliant. It's weird, creepy, epic and nighmarish; a real work of art. Well done David Lynch!

This movie has exerted a fascination for me ever since I first watched it many years ago. I'm not saying it's the best film ever, but it conveys an atmosphere that really manages to pull you into the strange, mysterious and perplexing world that is Dune.
  • An underrated film that suffered from creative conflict. It was actually quite an ambitious project with incredible visuals.

Honestly, everyone needs to listen to the audiobook version. It has real actors and music. So amazing.

This trailer is epic, even by today's standards! "A world where the mighty, the mad, and the magical, will have their final battle." "From the boundaries of the incredible, to the borders of the impossible."

I actually thought the film was pretty good. Then I read the book.

Dune 1984 was an absolute amazing movie. ....a 10 out of 10. I read the book afterwards and was equally in awe. Kyle who played Paul admitted that adapting Dune the Novel to the big screen was HARD.

When I watched it in 1984, I already thought it’s a great movie, and I was grateful one of my favourite science fictions received such a luxurious and wonderful treatment. Looking at it now, and after watching the 2021 version (which is in itself a masterpiece ) I am still very much impressed by everything in this great film.

Gotta say that Lynch’s Dune was pretty epic in itself
