Fantastic Four (2005) has been talked about as being one of "those" old 2000's movies that we should forget. A movie that wasn't good, and is a perfect example of how NOT to make a superhero movie. Well today I'm here to say that it's actually a good film, one that captures core ideas of the Fantastic Four, and is a classic every superhero fan should watch!

  • Not groundbreaking cinema? You're telling me our first introduction to Viktor is his statue and the movie ends with him becoming a statue isn't groundbreaking cinema?

Chris Evans going from a pretty good Johnny Storm to Steve Rogers is unbelievable

The Things costume in this is still absolutely STUNNING. Combining with all the actors just playing it so well the whole thing just feels fun. Not high art, but fun that has genuine heart, passion, and charm behind it. Whoever the actors that the MCU is gonna get are they're gonna have big shoes to fill.

Fantastic Four was great, they got the powers right and consistent and the family part accurate, the only problem here is Dr. Doom.
  • @RufusM
Yes. Yes we want you to talk about the sequel. Please.
  • Finally, someone is giving the fantastic four the respect it deserves. I love both of the tim story fantastic four films. They were both fun and enjoyable to watch. They were also the first marvel movies I ever watched, before Spider-Man and the mcu.

The bridge scene in the 1st Fantastic Four movie is so underrated, I'm specifically talking about the scene where the Thing tried to pick up his fiancée’s ring, that's still one of the most well done scene in comic book movies history, it's basically the Sandman transformation scene but better, at least that's a villain, and he did eventually picked up his daughter's photo, and he has the ability to turn back human form, the Thing never managed to pick it up, and he's a good guy who got turned into a monster due to an accident, and his fiancée abandoned him after he just saved the day

Your point about the ending reminds me of ghostbusters. “Don’t cross the streams” and then later on “cross the streams!”
  • When your a kid, you never pay much attention of other stuff like character development, dialogue, etc. you only pay attention to the action. But when you grow older, you learn to appreciate everything and that’s something awesome when you rewatch a favorite childhood movie and it feels like you are watching a brand new movie

Bro the FF defeat DD by burning him to a crisp, and then dosing his magma glowing body with water, turning him into a statue. They either thought it was gonna kill him, which they were all just totally fine with. Or they thought it was just gonna trap him in a statue like state, which is somehow even more fucked up. 😂 SO BRUTAL

FINALLY, someone gets it! Every argument I heard against this movie was like "I get why you didn't like that, but it didn't ruin the whole thing for me" You know?

Wait,It took 17 years to appreciate this film? I've loved this movie as this is my childhood. Early Marvel movies. Good thing this movie is being appreciated now. Better late than ever!!

This video made me realize how much cooler the apartment scene in No Way Home would be if there were innocent bystanders running around.

It’s an enjoyable movie, I don’t understand why some people like to hate on it. Cast is great, powers are cool, storytelling is pretty good for the most part, funny moments, and they nailed the family team dynamic of the F4 pretty well. Yeah it’s not a masterpiece superhero movie, but it is a solid superhero movie.

Rewatched this like 3 weeks ago and I was surprised how great it actually was.
  • @caesarorzell600
The casting IS perfect. You got Henry from Forever, the main dude from No Ordinary Family, the dude from Opposite Sex, and Cole from Charmed! LEGENDARY!
  • @thebrickguy407
I remember having so much fun watching the F4 duology with my family. I miss when the only marvel films back then were Raimi, x men, and F4. What a time
