This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Have you learned anything useful on YouTube lately? Performing on guitar, piano, harmonica and finally debuting an orchestral piece, Usman Riaz will share how he used the internet and multimedia to learn from some of the greatest people in the world just by watching them.

A self taught composer, visual artist and filmmaker, at 21 years of age Usman Riaz became a TED Fellow and has spoken and performed at the TED Global Conferences in 2012 in Edinburgh and received a scholarship to Berklee School of Music in Boston. At 23, Usman is now the youngest TED Senior Fellow.

MA Thank you Usman Rizvi so much for representing Pakistan in such a beautiful way, inspiring wondrous souls present in this world... the smile, content and that glow of happiness of your dream coming true, as you led the orchestra, those emotions got to me and actually made me cry... you are worthy of so much more appreciation, more than you could dream of, i wish from ALL my heart, i seriously want every limb of my body to believe that your dream of making the first hand drawn animation in Pakistan will come true no matter what difficulties you guys would have to face, INSHA ALLAH, may Allah give you more strength and more will to help you achieve your dreams. InshaAllah you will succeed. And thank you once more for telling so many people what Pakistan is capable of.
