Indro's art took me a moment to get used to. But then I enjoyed it very much.
The writing is fantastic.
It's from Dynamite Entertainment. They have many awesome comic book series.
Green Hornet: Year One is also brilliant.
Sherlock first appeared in print in A Study in Scarlet, in 1887. He was created by Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock appeared in four novels and 56 short stories, up until 1927. All of the Sherlock stuff written after that is from authors other than Arthur.
One of the inspirations for Sherlock may have been the fictional character Maximillien Heller, a depressed, anti-social, opium loving, polymath detective, operating in Paris.
A German detective named Walter Scherer may have also been an inspiration for the creation of Sherlock.
Poe's Auguste Dupin was probably one of the inspirations for Sherlock.
Doyle said he was mainly inspired by real life figure Joseph Bell, a surgeon who drew broad conclusions from minute observations.
Henry Littlejohn, from Edinburgh Medical School, is also cited as a possible inspiration.
