Love this series. Perhaps when you're done with LOTR you could try a House of the dragon build?

Pippin would, I think, start with a lute (which is the closest you can get to a guitar in this setting - it's what his actor plays (see "The Last Goodbye")) and I believe that Pippin plays such as instrument as part of the band at Bilbo's Long Expected Party (which you can see in the Appendices on the DVD, though, alas, I haven't spotted him onstage in either cut of the film itself). Curiously enough, Noble is also a viable background for these two miscreants; the Brandybucks and the Tooks are the two most important and powerful families in the whole Shire. (Worth noting is that Pippin's father Paladin was the Shire-thain, a hereditary title whose authority was originally granted by the Kings of Arnor, i.e. Aragorn's ancestors.) They start out the films as, essentially, bored rich kids! "Lucky" is also the perfect feat for Merry and Pippin! Oath of Devotion also makes sense for Pippin given his immediate dedication towards Faramir - Pippin literally leaps onto a burning oil-soaked pyre to save him in the film! (And this is after nearly cooking himself on the Beacon of Minas Tirith! Maybe Pippin has some fire resist gear we don't know about?)

Yess really enjoyed seeing this one! ❤ As you got closer to the end, I was thinking "Fighter for Merry, Paladin for Pippin?" and felt very proud of myself when you agreed haha.

Love your work as always. I especially liked the touches with the gear for them. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the Gimli build. <3 ;)
  • Just found your channel and this was interesting, I'd have to look at the other fellowship builds. Wondering if you've done The Hobbit builds yet? Though Gimli and the dwarves that traveled with Bilbo I think would all be a mix of fighter and/or barbarian. Bilbo I think would be kinda similar to these 2, but a heavier focus on thief rogue than bard. And maybe a 2 level dip into fighter, not just because of action surge, but because of how much he had to fight to survive. Though action surge can be roleplayed as part of his quick thinking to get out of sticky situations or to sneak and dip out of a crowd for a smoke of his pipe. Still think bard is relevant for his battle of wits and riddles with Gollum, though instrument I'm not sure what would be best

I have a question for a build im trying to do a fighter lv4 batalmaster ranger lv4 hunter and warlock great old ones lv6,do you have suggestion for the stats ? dex and charisma will be main for thé build thank you 😁!!!
  • A daunting task would be the 13 dwarfs in The Hobbit just because of the limited face choices for characters in BG3 and the sheer number of these dwarfs. Also, Gollum would be difficult because BG3 doesn't let us make characters look all gaunt and cataract...

I just wish there was an easier way to create a custom party than firing up the game four times on top of itself. That REALLY drags the ol' system down. Hirelings are a tough way to go too. Any suggestions?
