The Torpedo Build Revisited - Star Trek Online

I will ALWAYS "suffer" through a Torp video! I love these, I always learn or relearn things!

Have to confess, i'm a fan of EPG/Torp builds, even though i don't have all the best stuff for them yet. Pulling a whole group of enemies together into a neat ball and them showering them with torp spreads is just so satisfactory!

Good idea to do updated builds, even if the older information is still correct, it's nice to see how a build has been updated with different traits/ideas. Sorry to hear about the trolls though, I haven't seen it in ESD chat yet.

I run a torp/beam setup. The thing is the ship is a 4-4 layout when I prefer a 5-3 layout but that's okay. It works anyway. I think though that I should look at a torp/mine build once again. I did it way back when and it never worked as well as it should basically because of a lack of decent consoles and traits for it.

Good video. I have a lot more work to do than I realized. Hopefully I can get my hands on some of that stuff.

I've never used mines, nor torpedos, except in the campaign when I've been forced to use a ship with these attached. Not a fan. However, this video has presented the perfect solution to something that has been dramatically affecting my enjoyment of the game (when I've not been able to avoid it)... the Jellyfish. Specifically that c***ing visual effect that is literally as annoying to me as it would be to have someone ram a pair of dark sunglasses on me as I play, and blow smoke between me and the screen to make seeing what's going on in the game much harder!!! So this video has presented the perfect solution. Although I will continue to run all cannons, I am going to set up a Loadout with Tricobalt Mines, and whatever I can get hold of that make them more deadly, and anything else I can find that can be used to affect another player (possibly one of those large floating shield thingys, whatever it is)... and I'll be repaying the favour back to Jellyfish players; allowing them to experience the joys of having another player impact their game!!! So, thank you for this. You're always a source of valuable information.

If you do not have the Borg DOFFs, what do you suggest using instead?

Man, I have alot but missing like 3 of the ship traits for this build. Gonna have to adapt those 3 lmao.....

Being able to individually fire your weapons in the order you want is why I miss playing on PC. Console is like one button and everything fires. Lmao.

Yet to do a Torp build as i am still messing around with my science build at the moment but using the torps on the front of my ship so i was looking for ways to reduce cool down on the Torps but i have that section 31 ship and the science 31 and like them both .

If that Ensign slot was universal, what skill would you use? Wonderful video!

Thank you for this Auggie! I've been looking to get back into the torp game, but my build is really out of date. I will probably stick to either the Web Mine or Biomolecular Photon mine instead of that Tricobalt Mine.

Hmmm, that looks like an Assault Layer. True torp builds only have torpedoes...like my L-Sovy that has many different loadouts/themes(ie: Gamma, all pink/purple/Dominion torps).

Great build Aug! I have a question that I'm sure you've answered in a previous video: what would you recommend as a budget alternative to the delphic torp and delphic beam? I currently don't have access to those two and would really like to put a torp build on my S31 BC. Thanks!
