Did you know that the iconic Star Tunnel music of Disney’s Space Mountain at Walt Disney World used to have lyrics and a melody?

“We’ve Come So Far (Promosing Tomorrows)” is a musical piece used in the Magic Kingdom version of Space Mountain since 1985, composed by George Wilkins to promote RCA, Space Mountain’s sponsor from 1975 to 1993. The instrumental queue music of this theme is still being used to this day, but the song itself is no longer there. That’s why Gijs Van Winkelhof and Priscilla Pfalz decided to go into the studio to record a new version of this beautiful song to bring it back to life. You both nailed it. It was one of my favorite music played at Magic Kingdom. Even though I get motion sickness from the ride, I would just go to the queue to listen to the background music. Though, I am unsure if they play this music in the queue anymore. George Wilkins is such a great composer and you all remade this amazingly. Please keep up the great work!
