I made this in 2013, and I have no idea why I haven't uploaded it.
After patching it up a bit, here it is, finally.

At least half these views are mine lol. I'm always listening to this version I actually like it just as much as the snes version. I can't get enough of the genesis sound. Shout out to the people who grew up with both a genesis and a snes and can appreciate the genesis soundchip.✌️

David Wise almost threw this song away because it was going to be music for water stages, and there are no water stages in DKC2 (submerged ship hold and ice music had already been written.) Luckily he reapplied it to the brambles levels and aww yeah- BASS DROP I'm sorry, I lost my train of thought.

Dear ChiptunedRaijin, we need more of this! The Mega Drive wasn't often used for atmospheric music back then so covers (or original music) like this are particularly welcome and also help to further prove what the system is capable of with this kind of music.

Excellent job through and through! And speaking of instrument choices, don't ever feel forced to pick the exact same set than it's SNES (or else's) counterpart. I.E. National Park's instruments on GBC had nothing like the whistle lead you used and that is exactly what made it be one of your best works.

Don't hold covers out on us, now! Sounds great, glad you uploaded it.

Great version. Feels a lot more intimate and melancholic than the snes version. Loved it!

This is absolutely fantastic! Love everything, the haunting synth pad and crisp drums in particular. You deserves 10x more subs!

Very nice rendition of this track. I really love your work! :)
  • This is awesome. I am very impressed with how well this transferred to the Genesis’ sound board.
  • Thank you. This was absolutely worth doing. Your choice did not go to waste.

Fantastic. So masterful that you forget you are even listening to the MegaDrive. Great job.

SNES muffled sound fits more to this song. This version sounds like chiptune remix, but it's still pretty good

This song is so good that you could throw it literally at anything and still enjoy it.
  • Glad to see people making this song on this hardware, I’m not the only one obviously lol
