Fantastic interpretation ! Even Debussy himself is playing the flute!

The beauty of this piece is from out of this world
  • Oh, the flute, oboe, harp, and horn. So, so unbelievably lovely. I'm floating.

Oh Debussy, I love Debussy. Sometimes all I think about is Debussy.
  • Quelle magnifique interprétation, avec un flûtiste exceptionnel (qui ressemble à Claude Debussy!)! Merci 🙏

Passionate, sensitive interpretation by solo flautist Sebastian Wittiber. (And, yes, he does look a little like Debussy.)

Thank you Frankfurt Radio Symphony for posting your videos with very beautiful audio recording! I only started listening to classical music in Dec 2023 thru the influence of TwoSet Violin and I’m loving it!❤😊
  • Wunderbares Orchester, wunderbarer Dirigent, wunderbarer Konzertsaal !!!!!!!!!!!!! Schade dass ich nicht in Frankfurt lebe!!!!

The beautiful story behind this was that the French poet Stephane Mallarme inspired Debussy. One of Mallarme's visions was to bring all art forms together, music, dance and poetry. This came to fruition when Vaslav Nijinsky choreographed a ballet to this piece of music.

The opening to all of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony's videos on YT have become so iconic for classical musicians

Mit das Schönste an Musik, vor allem, wenn man Mallarmes Gedicht kennt. Ich weinte, als ich es erstmals hörte. Hier exzellent interpretiert. Bravo!

Although it's not the kind of music I listen to often, I've always appreciated the quality and creativity that went into classical music. I must say listening to this is like getting lost in the most beautiful dream. I just didn't want to wake up from it.

In my 25 years I have never heard a better interpretation of this magic piece of music. To see the musicians it´s an extra bonus- Debussy is my fav.
  • Music is one of but a few arenas where the dreamer's dreams become tangible and true.
