  • From an in-game perspective, Josh picking himself as the most hated character is. Probably pretty accurate. And pretty sad. It’s hard to forgive him but it’s pretty hard to just hate him, too. Mans was on the wrong medication, was suffering from severe schizophrenia, and had been ostensibly abandoned by his friends after his sisters died. I might become a sadistic villain of immeasurable proportions too tbh
  • With the whole Jess not being in her underwear thing, there are actually 3 different scenarios that can happen depending on how good Mike is to Jess up until that point. If you’re really good to her and essentially do everything right she’ll just undress immediately and they don’t get that conversation about her being insecure and the shutters aren’t closed. If you’re not 100% perfect to her (Jack scared her and got her wet) she has that conversation with Mike and makes him close the shutters and only gets partially undressed. If you’re really consistently bad to her and weaken their relationship enough she makes mike do the shutters and get her a blanket and doesn’t undress at all. Neat little nuance that doesn’t change the story at all but still makes the seemingly superfluous choices that affect nothing have an impact. Part of why I love this game.
  • "You can befriend a wolf???" Yes, Jack. If you dont kick it like you did last time 😭
  • @vyzee404
just realised now that since jessica was knocked out when mike found her in the mines, that means it was the wendigo mimicking her screams! wild asf
  • 100:20 No matter which way you pull the switch it will always “kill” Josh. Which points out two important things. 1. Josh never actually put any of them in real danger, these were just sadistic games for entertainment. 2. The sad part about this is Josh has convinced himself that Chris, his best friend, would never choose to save him over Ashley. This shows that Josh believes his friends don’t care about him.

“it was just a prank, han!” is the old new “what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger!”
  • @quilaviper
Ashley never would have died in the Saw scenario. Josh had the whole thing rigged so that it ALWAYS goes for him regardless of what Chris picks; Josh never actually wanted to hurt anybody, he just wanted to scare them. Game Theory actually did an AMAZING video on Josh about how he's pretty much completely innocent in this entire game, as he was victim of a medical system that failed him by misdiagnosing him for 9 years straight and giving him the wrong treatments despite him CONSTANTLY telling people that the meds they were giving him weren't working, that and his friends are mostly all horrible people, so there's not much comfort to find in them either adgfshdjfkgkhlj (Except Sam and Chris, they always seemed quite supportive of Josh, but he sadly kept pushing them away)

ongoing jokes that never fail to make me laugh: -it's just a prank han -knife snakes -screaming totem like got 'em

Pro tip: When your running from the 'psycho' as sam in the towel, hide as much as possible. Eventually you will get to an old elevator shaft and you'll have to hide in there. When you do, Sam finds and old storage room with Josh's phone, plus some more hidden and secret stuff.
  • I do like how well they manage to portray the symptoms of Josh's schizophrenia, though. Not only are you experiencing his psychosis between chapters as his mind breaks down progressively, but his friends talk about him being difficult to reach and having withdrawn from their social circle. Struggling with energy and motivation on both a personal and social level are some of the symptoms. You also see him jumping from one idea to another almost chaotically, like he can't seem to keep track of his own thoughts, both in the video he uses to invite them down, and when he's talking with Chris early on. Not only is he interacting in awkward ways, but in inappropriate ones with his incessant prattle about sex. One of those things I only noticed after watching/playing more than once. Rami Malek absolutely killed it.

Hey Jack! Forensic science major here to talk about that bloodstain pattern at 54:26. Dunno if you read this but if you do I hope you find it interesting. So first off I love that you call it "spatter" and not the commonly misused "splatter"; the correct forensic term is "bloodspatter" after all but is something most people say incorrectly. About that blood, the stain consists of a lot more blood than is commonly seen in most typical patterns, which is a first hint that something is fishy. Secondly, while it is possible for compound patterns (patterns of multiple kinds) to appear in a single area, there are too many patterns and noise happening on that wall which is a second red flag for me at least indicating that the pattern may not be entirely genuine (which knowing everything about Josh and his schemes, that's entirely accurate). But let's say HYPOTHETICALLY they were legit in some way. The large oval shapes in the pattern indicate medium-velocity spatter, specifically I they mostly appear to be what are known as cast-off stains. Cast-off stains are the result of hitting someone with an object, and the repeated swinging of said object flings blood from that object onto other surfaces. The tails of those large spots indicate the directionality of the motion: most of the tails of these spots tell us that someone was repeatedly swinging and hitting an object from a combined upward and rightward angle, indicating the assailant was likely right-handed. The fact that there is blood dripping down (due to gravity) in a lot of places, it could indicate an extremely bloody encounter due to the unusually high frequency of the spots. Not only that but blood is quite thick and on something like an uneven wall would take time to drip down a wall that much (real or not it could be a good indicator of (generally) how long Chris has been unconscious since the stain wasn't there before). The shine of the blood under the flashlight was a bit of a neat detail, as dried blood does not necessarily reflect light to that extent so it could also be a subtle indicator that the blood is fairly fresh (some of the smaller drops seemed to reflect the flashlight's, well, light). For reference, it might take approximately 60 minutes for small blood droplets to dry on a wall like that, with variances in times for larger stains that could take upwards of 8 hours. The mist-like pattern points towards high-velocity bloodspatter of some kind, which is not easy to "achieve" by any means. High-velocity spatter is commonly associated with things like gunshot wounds. However there is another bloodstain pattern known as expirated spatter in which an injury to the lungs causes blood to be coughed or expelled through the nose or mouth, which creates an unusual and semi-fine mist. The best way to tell if it's expirated is if there are small air bubbles in the droplets on the wall, but obviously we cannot see this kind of detail. The directionality of some of the misting makes sense towards the top and right, but less sense nearer the center of the overall stain. There is also a strange "pooling" of blood in the center of the stain that looks to me like a passive stain. Wipe or swipe patterns are common on walls and other objects, but I don't see a lot of evidence of either of these leaving me to conclude that the large pooling is a transfer stain, where an object considered to be the source of blood (like a severely-injured human being) simply made contact with the wall and transferred some of their blood onto the wall which allowed a lot of it to drip towards the ground because of the higher volume of blood. Some of the drip patterns are unusual, specifically the ones that curve, as if we are assuming this a typical 90-degree vertical wall then all the extra blood should pull straight downwards with gravity. Blood can have some magnetic properties and any that drips down a wall may have some attraction to other streams of blood dripping down hence why some of the trails curve as blood falls down. However, there are still a few trails I notice where even this property of blood doesn't make a lot of sense with the stain. Another possibility is that some of the stains are what are called arterial spurts; if you nick or puncture a major artery, the blood will spurt out through the wound in a repetitive, arc-like pattern that coincides with the person's heartbeat, with a new stain being produced every time the person's heart beats. Arterial spurts can occasionally be mistaken for other patterns. What strikes me as interesting is the combination of bloodspatter patterns in this single stain: medium-velocity in the form of the large droplets with the tails that suggests cast-off, high-velocity in the form of the mist-like patterns that could be an expirated pattern, the arc-like stains which could be arterial spurts, and low velocity which is what I believe to be the large and simple transfer stain. There is some unusual clumping of some of the drops/pools of blood, and not just in one place on the wall, and the way that some of the blood trails down the wall is slightly odd and inconsistent. All of this combined.....well, it isn't exactly impossible, but there's enough going on that makes me question the validity of the bloodstain pattern. And while I don't think someone would be dead if they lost this much blood, it might be enough to render somebody unconscious, however they were injured to create this pattern. And there you have it. Probably a lot of useless info to me, but you asked!!
  • I love mike tho, he starts the game as the asshole jock and then gets the shit kicked out of him, befriends a wolf, and becomes a badass
  • It’s so hard for me to be mad with josh- yeah what he did back to them was awful putting them in harms way but he didn’t know about the wendigos and based on the doctors notes we find later on it’s clear that he lost his mind after his sisters died. Also he’s the only one you can’t really save in this play through he either dies or is turning into a wendigo as the game ends, sad overall
  • @Riomy13
I always like how this moment of Jess getting attacked plays perfectly into the true identity of the Wendigo. Remember who was Hannah interested in and what did Jess just loudly proclaimed she's gonna do? Yeah, next time better not proudly scream about how you're gonna enjoy yourself with someone elses crush, especially when said 'someone' is a legit monster.
  • I know this video may not be doing the best compared to some of his other ones, but I REALLY hope he continues this series. I loved it the first time he played this game and I am really enjoying seeing him do it again all these years later
  • @Luka2000_
I remember watching "Josh dying" for the first time and it was incredibly shocking because of the gore and everything. Great game
  • @daisymae6
There are three scenarios with Mike and Jess. 1. They don’t remove any clothing. 2. They only remove outerwear. 3. Jess strips to her underwear. You got number 2, probably because you chose to scare Jess rather than just show her the mask. It also depends on how long you take to get to the cabin, how long it takes to turn the fire on, etc. The dialogue is also different depending on which scenario you get. Edit: Also in the situation where Jess is taken away and falls into the mines, she can die or she lives but is heavily injured. Once again, it depends on how long you take to reach her. Jess is the hardest one to keep alive because the two times you have to save her (chapter four and chapter ten), it depends on how long you take to reach her (chapter four), and making sure you don’t move the controller and doing the fast QTE to make sure Matt catches her from falling (chapter ten). The only way Jess can die is by having her jaw ripped off.
  • Please Sean finish this series! Even tho this video didn’t get the views that you and us were expecting we who did watch and WILL watch love that you’re doing this again! I personally am getting a lot if laughs and giggles 💚
  • @ecaboots
Chris, looking for Ashley: Ash? Sean: It’s snow, but good try Made me laugh harder than it should’ve
