Vulkan was quite the builder, making many powerful artefacts.
If his Salamanders find all 9 of them, he promises to return to the setting.

Vulkan is just hiding within the deepest darkest corner of his room at Nocturne as he's playing Battlemace 42 Million to pass the time.

My favorite line of dialogue in the hourus heresy series was from volken talking to Conrad Curze. Curze mentioned how his hammer was made to be a teleporter as well, but the teleporting ability was being nullified. Volken laughed and said " but you forget, it's also a hammer". Then proceeded to beat Curze with it. I legit laughed when I read that.

I love how Vulkan is so massive, that a plasma pistol looks like an autopistol by comparison

Vulkan's 9 Artefacts: exists Trazyn the Infinite: "You will make a fine addition to my collection!"

"Once my sons have successfully found all of my Artefacts through the Power of Friendship, I will give them a hug... EVERY SINGLE GIT AT DA TIME TIL DER BONES BREAK!!!" - Vulkan

Didn't Vulkan die/disappear by tackling the beast into pure WAAAAGH energy? What if collecting the 9 artifacts just make the Salamanders belive strong enough that Vulkan returns, so he does? Basically Vulkan reverse engineered the WAAAGH. The Salamanders also wear green. Imagine the salamanders becoming the Astartes equivalent of extra spicy orcs.

I've mentioned this theory on a few forums or when talking to people. I think you can easily bring Vulkan back before all of the relics are collected while tying it into the "prophecy". The key is tying it to the story of how Vulkan swore loyalty to the BIG E. Vulkan decided to serve the Emperor because the Emperor showed that by sacrificing his bigger salamander he killed to save Vulkan, that Vulkan's service is worth it to anyone that values lives over pride. If they wrote a story where the Sally Mandys had to choose between saving a human population or letting an artefact escape them, and they realize that Vulkan would have preferred the former, then Vulkan could return, saying they passed the test, and repeating that "anyone who values lives over pride is worthy of his service." I wonder if Vulkan left the Salamanders because they became weird and zealous after his disappearance and return, and Vulkan was showing that he was getting disgusted by how a lot of the Imperium was turning out (like threatening to kill all of the High Lords of Terra for shear incompetency.)
  • How can the Salamanders not be one of the most popular chapters? They are the nicest of all Space Marine chapters. Or is it, yet again, that nice guys finish last.

8:05 My theory is that Vulkan He'stan didn't modify the gauntlet to fit himself. He just wears a really thick glove so his hand will fit properly. That way, when his Primarch returns he can just take it off and give it back to him. And because it'd just be hilarious if Vulkan He'stan is walking around looking like he has a comically oversized right hand.
  • Reminds me of the Ironclad dreadnought prototype the "Iron Dragon" that Vulkan personally made for one of his sons. It features more advanced life support and defence systems to the point of being currently unreplicatable, and uses custom dreadfire claws, deadly dreadnought assualt weapons fitted with high intensity heavy-flamers. It is still in current use, with its current resident being Sokhar Brey'arth, a legendary ex-Captain of the 4th company known for his aggression, stubbornness and martial prowess. He was intombed during his older years after holding off multiple Genestealer hoards by himself in terminator armour, welding his thunder hammer and a storm shield, as to buy his brothers time to escape before finally succumbing to his wounds.

Small tid bit about the Forgemaster is they are allowed to call all the Salamanders to their location and the Tome of Fire doesn't always give truthful leads to the next artifact but the Salamanders don't mind as they see it as a lesson in patience and usually they end up helping people. Also the Engine of Woes is a box that does not judge, only hates. Lots of Major Minis but not one for Yarrick, make one please.

Personally i like to think this is Vulcan's way of nudging his legion into playing a more active role throughout the imperium instead of letting them become chained down.

Honestly man, you’ve helped me so much in understanding the lore of 40k! I’m a salamander main!
  • @Channel-23s
A Warp powered Corvus Corax would be more surprising and crazy to see his boys/Sons and try to make them strong and relevant again and he’d be super strong and kinda unique interactions but hey practicality wise yeah Dorn or Lion would be insane to comeback and whoop some ass

My Ra the Golden Sun just arrived after only 2 weeks or so! Majorminis cane through for me. Excited to build and paint him! Meanwhile I have been waiting for 7 weeks for the last order I placed with GW. They could learn a thing or two from the one and only Majorkill
  • @Ranzoir
Vulkan is the largest Primarch with Magnus a close second. I don’t know the order past that but would be cool to know the sizes of each Primarch. Height weight range shit like that would be cool to know.
  • @trimeerious4349
Getting a video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs would have reacted to being place in Guillimans current situation as the first to be resurrected would be pretty cool ngl
  • Knowing Vulkan, rather that a flyer, I got the feeling that the chariot will be a massive OP tank!
  • the 10th Artefact the Salamanders has to find is MajorKill, thing is the Salamanders will realise that Artefact is in all our hearts
