I could not keep from speeding when this song would come on the radio back then. I had a '67 Firebird with lots of horsepower to spare. I was in the USMC. I had a tall strawberry blond girlfriend. Life was great. Sure would like to go back.

I was 18 back then during the Spring/Summer of 1974 when this song was popular. I met a tall blonde named Donna and Radar Love became our song. An interstate romance ensued for 6 years then ended. She ended up with a local guy in CT and I with a local gal here in OH. Through contacts I found out she died of cancer in 2007. But whenever I hear this song I remember and am back ‘there’ in time and being as I hold back tears. And Time passes...

There are some songs that never get old. Radar Love is definitely one of them. I was close to 14 when this song was released and instantly hooked up and now at almost 64 I still am.

Just did a karaoke song yesterday in a bar on mallorca Spain, everybody didn’t know the song, but me as a dutch guy I totally rocked the place and got applauded after the song by the whole bar !!! The energy from this song is just amazing!

I was born in 71, my mom used to listen to this in the house in spring cleaning with every single window in the house open,and just jamming while I was outside with the friends riding big wheels! I thank my mother for the music I have in my blood today!

Golden Earring lasted from the 70's to 2021 when the band decided to retire because George was diagnosed with ALS and couldn't play guitar anymore. I can only think of a few bands that still perform from the 70's with most of the original line up. Aerosmith, KISS, The Rolling Stones, Chicago.....I think that's about it. Why Golden Earring isn't in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame yet is a shame.
