Met her at an auto show in 1974, during her Mean Mary Jean days. She was extremely sweet, had an amazing laugh. Nice, nice genuine person.

Can't blame her for not wanting to wade into the cesspool of social media.
  • Great post. Couple more mentions. Judy Strangis was also the pitchwoman for Plymouth cars, especially the Duster, Volare and Road Runner as “Mean Mary Jean” from 1974 to 1976. In her football jersey and shorts she was every guys idea of a fun “girl” (forgive the sexism). She then pitched Barbie in 1976 and did a great job there. My thoughts of her are a person with star quality. She always stood out in the “Room 222” episodes and she’s one of those people who you say “the camera loves her”. Thanks for this, you made me think of a fun time in my life.
  • I just realized that Judy had the Rachel hair cut before there was even a Rachel. Thanks for this. I loved Room 222.

I only had eyes for Dyna Girl (and Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island.) Never even looked at Electra Woman or Ginger.

I remember watching "Room 222" just to see her! She was gorgeous.

She was Electra wow as Dyna Girl I had a huge crush on her as a little kid in the 1970's

Judy was always great fun and a pleasure to watch on both Room 222 and Electra Woman and Dynamic Girl. I did not watch her in her other TV appearances except when I randomly saw her on a show and said “Hey I know who that is or hey I recognize her” It’s nice to hear in this post that she got out OK and is doing well.

In my high school we had a room 222 it was biology lab. We joked about it when the show came on I graduated in 1973! She is beautiful!!!

OH YEAH, I definitely had the biggest crush on her when she played Dyna Girl. Watching the Krofft super show was like this: Wonderbug was the warmup, Dr Shrinker was good creepy silly fun, and the finale was the beauty in the pink tights. She was the reason I watched the Krofft Super Show!

Judy also appeared on the last-aired hour-long TWILIGHT ZONE in 1963 when she was a preteen girl. The episode also featured Burt Reynolds, but she didn't have any scenes w/ him.

Back in the day when myspace was a thing I had mentioned being a big fan of the old sid and marty krofft shows in my profile. Judy Strangis sent me a friend request and was the nicest most down to earth person ever.

Back in the 70's Elektra Woman and Dyna Girl made this young man certain that he liked women. Thanks for the update!

Re: Room 222 Between Judy Strangis and Karen Valentine, this young man was left a stirred up mess daily.
  • I met her at an autograph show in Hollywood some years ago. She was so wonderful! She also did the voice of "Baby Doll" in Batman: The Animated Series.
  • Dave, Judy Strangis was also in an episode of Barnaby Jones in 1973 that also starred Andy Kim (the singer). She gives a really good performance, you should see it if you can.

I saw Judy at the Detroit Auto Show when she was "Mean Mary Jean" for the Plymouth Duster in the 1970's. WOW! What a gorgeous woman and so classy too!
