This man is a gift. His books are great
  • His insights make me feel sad about my childhood and become aware of myself and attitudes I had adopted to fit in which have damaged my real personality

This is an extraordinary interview. And I've listened to several with Gabor, and am almost done with the book! Andre, you have done an incredible job with this interview, the best I've seen, with your presence, your understanding of the content.... it's more like a dialogue, than just barraging the interviewee with a bunch of questions. So well done! Thank you so much. We need this kind of information and perspective, so much, in these times.
  • So agree on the definition of family and relating. No two kids have the same parents. I cannot like this enough. The answer to the woman contemplating creating a family is golden.
  • I had 2 NDE's and saw that it is not knowing who we are, being disconnected that leads to a fearful way of being and all kinds of strange and destructive behaviour comes from it. Trauma is one of the main ways this disconnection happens. Kind of like a rabid dog getting the rabies virus and becoming dangerous and unpredictable. We come here and we live in a particular culture, family, group of people and we get conditioned to not be our true selves. We kind of all catch the same "virus". We forget who we all are, which is Love and because of the disconnection and forgetting who we are, all kinds of insanity happens from being unconscious. Also, earth is a place of extremes from the worst of the worst to the very best and everything in between. We come here for that challenge. I was received in the NDE's with total unconditional Love, compassion and acceptance without judgement. There is no separate from us "God" of any religion, that hands out rewards, punishments and judgements. I saw that nobody is ever left behind. To awaken to who we all truly are, while we are embodied and having a human experience and then to live from that pure state of BEING as best we can, is to bring the kind of unconditional love without judgments I experienced in the NDE's, through us and into this realm. It deepens and expands the Love that we are, deepens our compassion and brightens the light that we are.

"It's not your fault." Powerful ending. Thank you for this conversation.
  • Wow. What a treat to have this wonderful man on your show. He articulates so well what I’ve always felt deep in my soul but didn’t know how to express this in words. Everyone around me seemed to be so accepting and unquestioning and I always felt something was wildly amiss. Our society, has been and continues to be, very toxic indeed. Most people are trapped in jobs they don’t want to be in and that’s just for starters. Is it any wonder people are struggling. Anyway, I’m going to enjoy listening to the rest of this on my evening stroll. Thanks for keeping me company with such brilliant wisdom.
  • Just wow. I'm only half way done with the video and I had to stop to comment this.. but this has to be the most profound and perspective changing video I have every watched. Thank you Andre, you never fail to bring on the most amazing guests and ask hard but very important questions as well. Love this video.

What a tribe in the audience! Wow! All my favorite people that I follow, along with the incredible Gabor Mate whose way of talking is so soothing and healing. Huge! Thank you!
  • Nicky is a rockstar to show mature growth in action. That is what willing to heal and grow looks like. Such a great talk. Gabor Mate is one of my favorites!
  • What a wonderful conversation. The lady who asked the first question made me cry as I decided years ago that I didn't want children as I couldn't bear it if I made then unhappy like my parents made me. I often think how different I would have been if I'd had parents who looked at how they behaved and realised the impact it had. I think this lady will be a brilliant mother.
  • @zita-m
i am so grateful for this episode to be a live one. I have seen and heard many talks with Dr. Gabor Mate, and because they often tend to be repetitive (nonetheless still very interesting), it is the Q&A part that made this one so much better. I had so many a-ha moments that came through the answers to various questions from different people with different experiences that I could relate to. Thank you both for creating this space and to the audience who were not afraid to go deep. This was truly awesome to watch.
  • @teresatw8894
I feel such a profound love for Dr Mate that I cry instantly when I hear his voice 😅 just can't control my compassion, or maybe it is effect of feeling his endless compassion for entire humanity...?
  • @kundo9639
