I always thought that the reason why Birkin mutated the most on his right side is because if you look closely at the FMV, he gets most of the damage from the gunfire on his right side/arm, even when injecting himself he uses the left arm. The G-virus is supposed to repair damaged tissue, but by "repair" is means horrible mutation since the virus is a living organism based on the progenitor virus.

Portraying William's struggle to maintain control of his body was one of the few things that RE2-remake did REALLY well. As the 2nd fact states. Wonderfully grotesque, and scary. R.I.P Willie-G

William Birkin is one of my all time favorite video game antagonists. His monster forms are all wonderfully designed and his backstory is complex and tragic, even if he was an actual monster before becoming a physical one.
-
William is an interesting character where virtually every new entry into the series added a tiny chunk more lore to him
-
the Actor who played William Birkin in The Darkside Chronicles, TJ Rotolo: who voiced Frank West in Dead Rising and Credo in Devil May Cry 4 as well, is also the ONLY actor, who reprised his Role in the Remake.
-
Honestly William Birkin is one of the best original Resident Evil human antagonist throughout the franchise besides Albert Wesker, the only true weakness that William Birkin actually had was that Giant Eye on his right arm but also that makes the G virus very unique but also a weakness.
-
Fun fact on William Birkin: he is the only B.O.W. boss character you face 5 times in Resident Evil 2's scenario B, also he is the boss you face the most in the entire Resident Evil series, you did a nice job on William Birkin Ink Ribbon ✌️

9:38 I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY! Thanks for confirming that William actually talks in the first fight.

I like that William’s fleshy appearances in his forms (and with most of the monsters) isn’t far off from actual growths look like. I have a feeding tube (tongue cancer) and when I had my first tube in, it was kinda big, so it cause a benign lump (which my dumbass doctors thought was cancer, even though I was out of pain medicine and could feed) which honestly looked like a G Adult. I love that unlike most Zombie games, Resident Evil actually uses realistic inspiration for their monsters and weapons to defeat them (the solutions).

Hey Kai! So I'd say it is Berkin's eye in the main menu. However, you had mentioned it doesn't even look like his eye. If you watch the true ending of the PS1 Resident Evil 2 game, his eye finally takes that form right as the train explodes in the tunnel :) I'd say it looks like him, eventually haha

imagine a scenario where William got the superhuman effect like Wesker while Wesker just turned into a giant G monster.....
-
If you skip the whole implanting embryos into your own daughter thing, William is probably the greatest dad of all time. He gave Sherry super powers essentially and idk what gift would be better than that. Granted, if Claire and Leon hadn't given her the vaccine, she would've just become a monster, but I try to look at the positives lol.
-
William has always been my favorite monster in the series, and the most fascinating imo, so learning something new about him is always welcome! Would love to see more facts about our favorite tyrants!
-
4:40 Even though Annette said herself William had lost all of his human memories by that point so it was probably just false hope that she'd somehow be able to get through to her husband even though he'd become a mindless monster that only cared about reproducing more creatures like itself.
-
I love enemies that still show a glimpse of their humanity. The Scagdead is probably the best example in the RE universe. Starting with continuing his last words as a human and sending out a distress signal for the ship. Then a denial and confusion about whats going on. "Dont shoot, im a human!" You get him straight up warning you to get away because he realizes what he has become "Im a monster" and "my body wont listen to me". Then completely devolves into a rambling monster "Flesh! Flesh! FLESH! Tasty i want to EAT!"
-
i just realised re6 missed a huge opertunity with abilities basically like sherry has regenerative abilities so she regenerates health and jake has unlimited stamina ada has better range melee attacks and stuff
-
5:35 I've played the re2 scenarios in darkside alot of times and never encountered these "G-Zombies" .. they are probably cancelled concepts
-
"G IS MY CREATION!!" Am I the only one that laughed so hard when William said that in the RE2 Remake? 😂😭
-
This was great! I didn't realize you hadn't done Birkin yet. He's got to be my all time favorite RE villain & video game villain in general!
-
Resident Evil 2 on the N64 was my first experience of the franchise and I never regretted renting this game over and over again. Just to listen to the soundtrack and the badass boss themes at the end.
