Yes fasting works, but it depends on what one eats in 8hr window, fruits vegetables and unprocessed home cooked food and strict no sugar, then 16hr fasting window in the long term gonna work wonders to one's body and mind. We feel spiritual and calm🎉 also do some minimum physical activities
  • I am doing intermittent fasting for more than a year and it solved most of my health issues and I am feeling energetic and inch loss also

Palki, intermittent fasting has worked wonders for me. My health values and my weight have both benefited immensely.
  • Practicing for last 2years apart from fat loss it gives you patience, stops aging, cleanses liver and toxic solids in the intestine. Also a good way to build muscle . started practicing after watching dr.eric berg youtube channel. I believe that preaching us to eat all 3 times and snacking all the day is a strategy built by food industries and politicians through doctors to make our pancreas get exhausted and make money through hospitals and pharma industries built by them.

Very true. My dad eats everything but in limit, always active. He is still going strong at 76 without health problems. Same with my grandmom. Ate 3 meals. 2 of them were rice based. Lived until 86 and left us without even going to a hospital.

India is the pioneer in fasting .. we fast for ekadashi , naag panchami . Even in ayurveda there are texts quoting importance and benefits of fasting .

Intermittent fasting videos by Dr Pal is fabulous..structured and gradual progress starting with sticking to circadian rhythms n then making wiser food choices..ensuring that nutrition n calories are all taken into account slowly but steadily
  • Intermittent fasting is not FAD… Just choose the window that best works for you.. it’s Ayurveda and now scientifically backed.. but the thing some don’t understand is it also depends on what you eat and if you wanna loose weight it has to be through Calorie deficit over a period of time..
  • I've also heard of intermittent fasting, and I tried it almost immediately. Within a 6 months of trying it together with weight lifting, I saw my 6pack abs for the first time in my life. I've also noticed that I feel much better during the fasting period more than I do during the eating one. 😊
  • It is a lifestyle, I'm following it for 6 years now and I feel more fit and more active. It is an lifestyle and I would encourage everyone to try it at least once.

I am also doing intermediate fasting and it's very effective to our body

I have been intermittent fasting every day since March 2019 and I couldn't be happier and healthier (based on my blood tests and medical reports). Then again I thought it's common sense that you shouldn't binge on junk food during the 8-hour window... I loved the neutral take on the topic and the positive message about balance. I suffered from the low energy issue for the first three months and after that my body adapted.
  • For best results, cut or stop sugar intake, avoid high carb and processed food diet. I tried intermittent fasting with keto ( no carb) diet and lost weight, got fit, flat stomach and feel great all the time.

Definitely it works. I'm practicing this for last 2 years. & I can assure you, it works amazingly.
  • @Ms_Kymm
When I do intermittent fasting correctly, my body feels good, less bloating & inflammation... the problem is letting go of some foods, I've loved my whole life, because I start noticing which ones make my taste buds scream with delight, but makes my body feels terrible.
  • @srini9653
I practice it too, it works amazingly well. It is not very different from 'upvaas' our forefathers do. We eat too much unwanted food. Now let's say you still end up eating pizzas/burgers during intermittent fasting, your body will eventually tell you that those food won't sustain if you want to play by the rules of the game! So one has to understand the concept of this before they jump into it. But thank you for covering this topic!

Intermittent fasting is not a diet fad. It is a lifestyle choice. Been doing it for 6 years and after every break due to travel I come back to it. Seems the most natural thing to do. Works really well to stabilise your insulin levels, mood swing and hunger pangs. Good for people who suffer some form of inflammation. Key is to do your own research and listen to your body. Good to club with healthy eating and yoga.
  • The system can get tired of processing food, therefore, needs rest. Which means intermittent fasting is good at times 🤗😇
  • @nisnid008
it is not a fad. Been there since ages in all cultures and religions as already being explained. Especially in India. Western society has just discovered it recently. Most people benefit from it. Palki should also try it if not already doing it. Eat healthy to get the required nutrients in the eating window. Fast for 14-18 hours and see the results in your body.
