Hellooo I voiced the Duchess, and for you to call my performance flawless has made my entire week!! Thank you so much, I hope you loved the game as much as I'm sure the team did making it! Thanks for killing me, I guess...? ❤

Inkerton is a heavy bloodborne reference and I like it! The shell cracker is the trick weappn that hunters use, especially with the gun .
  • Fun fact, Pagarus is allergic to bananas... An NPC tells you this in the area before you have to face him. And if you use the banana peel and let it get caught in his grab, you lose your banana peel but Pagarus loses half his life bar hahaha

This game was such a pleasant surprise. Super expressive, great sense of humor, really creative and fun skills for both exploration and combat. There is definitely a fair bit of clunk and jank throughout the game, but it remains such a delight to play
  • As someone who fought pagurus the ravenous before even entering the expired grove. I loved it! I died so many times but it was worth it. I also got extra dialogue for getting the 3rd treasure map early. It was amazing.
  • Fun fact: topoda is actually a peacock mantis shrimp, a crustacean infamous for having one of the strongest punches in the animal kingdom. The mantis shrimp preys on clams and other prey along the seabed, and will use its extremely strong frontal claws to punch through tough clam shells, disorient fish before feeding, and deter predators. Their colorful shells serve as a warning to predators, in a similar way that some butterflies and frogs have bright colors to warn predators. The males are known to be more vibrant than the more red females in order to attract mates, and it’s not uncommon for two males to compete for a mate by boxing, often leading to the death of one or both of the males
  • I actually beat Pagurus before even going into flotsam vale, got some unique dialogue from it!
  • @DragonScythe64
actually the Ceviche sisters are not prawns, they are pistol shrimps, actual sea life known for shooting high frequency bubbles with their giant claws (hence the name)
  • A fun thing I learned today about the Shellsplitter is when he does his slam the bike rake in front of him move if you stand in the right spot you can actually just stand in the gap of his weapon and be fine.
  • @theivoryguy2476
I feel so validated by Topada's placement. I love him and his fight so so much.
  • @junkiiramen
I honestly hope there’s a future update to add New Game+ because a lot of the late game bosses were a bit easy considering that I and most players have fully upgraded their builds. I also hope there’s DLC, I wanted to explore more of The Unfathom and Bleached City, or maybe explore the aftermath of the game.
  • Fun fact. Praya Dubia is the scientific latin name of the real life Giant Syphonophore wich is the jellyfish thing we see in the boss fight. It's a superorganism related to jellyfishes that can reach 150 ft long. Look it up it's really interesting
  • @laxor5902
i might have accidentally killed pagarus when i first entered the sands between... also those spike balls firth uses is actually an adaptation too.

I swear youtube's search system is just broken, i'm searching this video typing the title almost word to word and it doesn't show up. I had to search your channel and watch the video from there, they are doing you dirty. By the way i love boss rankings, great channel.
  • Unfortunately, it was until after I beat the final boss that I found Topoda (I didnt see the hooks at the end of the village going higher up). Now I am too overpowered to enjoy the optional bosses behind the purple bricks, and I got to clean up all the collectibles I missed. Also, an endurance build with a valve shell means you can block mostly everything aside from red aggro attacks (you can even block blue aggro attacks sometimes), combine this with the Isopod stowaway (or two if you can find them), and you can zoom around the battlefield blocking everything

For Voltai you could unplug the appliances with the spear fishing ability
  • @ShaggyGlacier
another cool thing about Pagurus is that his name comes from his species scientific classification, cancer pagurus. he also has a bobbit worm beneath the eyepatch that comes out after he reaches below half health which i feel like is either parasitic as the bobbit demands sustenance, or symbiotic as the bobbit benefits from his endless hunger

The music really elevated this game for me. First, let me start off with Praya Dubias second theme. You're fighting a boss, which has endured all of the oceans pain, fury, and suffering, and this boss is tearing itself apart in an attempt to inflict some suffering on you. the music is amazing, it sounds as if you can truly feel dubia wailing. it still gives me chills every time i hear it. Also, voltai may be a pushover of a boss, and yet her theme fits her so perfectly. its like you can hear the electricity coursing through the track itself. this game is a masterpiece.

Take it from someone who had this be their first souls like, the bleached king is kicking my ASS with that sentry style of boss fight. Although I also love topoda! Probably my second favorite right behind inkerton 2
