Here is my latest Ebay find. NOS Universal Thermomatic X rapid start F40 ballasts! Long leaded and the blue label ones. The lamps on the left are my GE Daylights. The ones on the right are my Ace Hardware (GE manufactured) F40CW Shoplight lamps. There are actually two more ballasts just like them not shown. I just ran out of lamp holders. Not to worry. I predict an eight lamp startup with all four ballasts very soon. Also there is a basic wiring tutorial for banking fluoro fixtures together. One thing I forgot, TURN OFF THE POWER BEFORE DOING ANY WIRING!!!!! 120 volts is VERY DANGEROUS!!! I want this to be a lesson in wiring, not a lesson on how to electrocute yourself. I am not responsible for any injury or property damage resulting from attempting this.

    Nice ballasts! Interesting that daylights start faster in rapid start applications. Daylights seem more "cold natured" in preheat applications.
