Unreal Engine 5 is a state-of-the-art engine and editor with photorealistic rendering, dynamic physics and effects, lifelike animation, robust data translation, and much more—on an open, extensible platform that won't tie you down.
The Backrooms is an urban legend and creepy pasta that tells the tale of an endless maze of randomly generated office rooms. It is characterized by the smell of wet carpet, walls with a monochromatic tone of yellow, and buzzing fluorescent lights.

Ayyye, sound & music guy for the game here! First off, Fancy, I absolutely love how you put my little hound line at 4:51 lmao It's such an honor working hard with you since you're so chill, and I'm really excited to continue chipping away at more sfx and soundtracks! Even more excited to hear my voice chasing some more YouTubers. >:D (And thank you for letting me help with this vid's audio, it means the world!) Working in a game like this, especially on this sheer scale, is nothing short of my dream job. I genuinely can't thank you enough for making this possible (and enjoyable at that!) for not only me, but every single player. 💙

Im surprised how he can develop and edit a game by himself so fast

Imagine going underwater to find the cave and you hear "Detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms in the region. Are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it?"
-
One thing you could also add to help remove motion sickness or lessen it, is add an option to use locomotion, or vignette. It helps with motion sickness and nausea. It’s used in games like rec room and Vader Immortal.
-
Just imagine you spent ~$7000 to die in backrooms. Beautiful.
-
Imagine just finishing a quick backrooms gaming session just to take off the headset and see moist carpet, bright yellow lights and never ending walls
-
Playing this in VR would be simply horrifying.
-
You should add this game to the Oculus Quest store. Not sure what you have to do to get it on there, but it’s ideal since a lot of Oculus users (like me) don’t have a high performing PC that can connect to games like this. Just a suggestion to make the game more accessible to a wider variety of users. You’re doing a great job on this game, keep it up!
-
Then you removed vr support. Good job

this guy started with a decently serviceable backrooms game, did well enough to probably live comfortably for a while, and decided "nah, we aint done" and is on track to making this BY FAR the best backrooms game
-
this is probably the most accurate backrooms game I've ever seen, and it seems it's going to get even better with the idea of non-linear progression and canonical entrances and exits to different levels. I hate games that do it to where it's just make it to the end of one level and now you're in a completely different level for no reason, so I'm glad to see a change of pace with this one

bro call a bugy wall a feature💀
-
Oh man, I was really hoping for VR support! Really, if there was one other feature I’d really like to see, do you think it’d be possible to implement an “Empty” difficulty where there aren’t any entities? I’d honestly like to just explore the areas without worrying about dying, but I’m just unsure if that would mess any floors up as a result.

I can’t believe that this man can manage to animate a buttload of commentary animations within 2 months
-
This guys is the goat, he loves to hear feedback and his editing skills are too good to be true
-
4:51 the hound really just said: SUBSCRIBE TO FANCY
-
I really love how this devlog is going keep it up since these levels are looking insanely great :D
-
Man, this is INSANE! Incredible job on the game and the VR system looks great. Can’t wait to see this game when it’s done!
-
Loving how this game is being rolled out on time despite how massive game companies take years to make worse

bro dropped the hardest backrooms edit and thought we wouldnt notice 💀
