  • Thank you for coming out!! And for being so respectful with your filming. Would love to have you come by the shop anytime for a cup of Coffee - Kelsey & Dennis
  • Definitely still a Factory wheel and caps. Can't believe how well that hood matched up. Awesome
  • @chevelle-pi1bn
Can't believe how good that hood matches the patina on the Fairlane. As for the wheels you cannot go wrong either way .

Dennis is down to earth.... true car guy... doesnt label you... Thats why I still watch his videos.
  • Thank you for saving that 1967 Ford Fairlane. I had one, lots of work, had to sell it before it was done. When its complete it has a beautiful look to it, just standing still. I prefer the Cragars, but the dog dish caps are ideal for the period look.
  • @Spennyman10
Hard choice on the wheels. I'm leaning toward the Cragars but the dog bowls look pretty good too.
  • I bought the red '73 Grand Prix! Have a super complete low mileage (rusty) factory 455 parts car with everything needed to build this one! When we picked it up, there were a couple more I realized I should have bought!
  • Dodge dish all the way. Tim I can't believe how well that hood matched on that fairlane love that car. Great video.

Love the Fairlane-my high school buddy called me one day to look at his-it was a Lime Gold car with a 390-he said the accelerator pedal was stuck to the floor-I got there and discovered that it was indeed stuck to the floor-after scratching my head for a minute, I realized that the car had broken in half at the torque box, and the pedal linkage was pulling the throttle open-a shame, it was a cool car-I wanted to get my own, but all of the cars in my area, (Cleveland), were hopelessly rusted-you have a very cool project!
  • @frankierays
So much history in that yard. Great video. Standing as is - Cragars. Lowered - dog dish.
  • Kind of depends on the build you are going for; dog dish steelies for a cool sleeper or Cragars for a little more noticeable performance. Nice builder either way

Cragars look good on anything so do Keystones. As far as the steel wheels I prefer black wheels with raised white letter tires and dog dish caps.
  • @CycolacFan
I’d normally go with the poverty caps but those Cragars really suit it. Red interior would make it pop without or without shiny paint.

Dennis never allowed success to change his values. I meet him in Okc during a large auction and it was like talking to you're neighbor. He took time to shske hands take photos I was impressed by him.

Great video !! I have a soft spot for the 66-67 Fairlanes and Comets ! Glad to see someone is going to enjoy it !

Luvit My 1st car, I was only 14 so I never got to drive it. 6 cylinder automatic on column bench seat. Paid $60 for it from a neighbor. Ran good rebuilt engine, interior trashed, huge dent in quarter panel. Had dreams but no money. Junk yard only gave me $35 for it. I’d be interested in this one to build because of that history.
  • Nice pics! Its high time for a "Realistically, just a parts car at this point" Mr. Goodpliers shirt with your favorite crumpled up, wad of a car on a 70's glossy iron on type look. More than 40K subscribers! Take your rightful place in this odd corner of the universe!
  • Wow! That one is a blank canvas for someone to turn into a very nice ride! Can’t decide on the wheels, either looks good now. Finished project will be the deciding factor. Thanks for saving it!
  • This is one of my all time favorite Fords that I always wanted but never did find one that did not need a lot of body work. I could only find a real nice 4 dr & that just would not do. I prefer the factory steel 15" wheels with dog dish caps. I think this car deserves to be put back on the road for sure. These are getting hard to find in build-able condition. My older cousin purchased a 1967 Ford Fairlane GT. It was equipped with the 390 FE & 4 spd. top loader, bucket seats & console. I rode in it a few times, I loved the car. Thanks for another great video Tim.
