This type of thunder is very underrated and very satisfying. The thunder isn’t instant like other thunder you hear during storms. This type of thunder feels like a mini earthquake if it brings
an intense rumble

Positive lightning = the best thunder. The power of nature. ⚡

That kind of thunder is thrilling! Scary but the fun part of watching storms.
  • At 3:00 you can clearly ear the distinct powerful sound of electricity ( among the prolonged booms ) of that Positive lightning. Amazing!

Wow, that was an insane bolt at 2:30. Sounded like the thunder tag teamed with an earthquake!!
  • I was in a house that was struck by lightning!!! The radio, lights and windows all simultaneously went off along with the outside flashes and BOOM! The thunder was instant and got quieter as it rolled away. Downpour that followed left a 2 foot deep torrent of water in the street. Most thrilling 1.5 hrs of my life, one tornado a few miles away. Fresno CA summer storms can be cool

Got some good video shots there bro! I love the one at about 2:26 into video. Set off the dam car alarm. Lol ! Those are the kick ass ones. Too cool!!
  • The sound of this lightning is distinctive and beautiful , caused by horizontal strikes in the clouds, while vertical lightning has a different and more sharpness sound.

What's really freaky is to be in the presence of that kind of thunder and lightning only it's snowing so hard you can't see 10 ft past your window.. definitely is a strange thing and one I've only experienced twice in my 55 years..

Many of these sound like they were positive strike, which are much more powerful than the average bolt hence why they produce a more intense shock wave.

Artillery thunder is my favorite...as well as the "tick" or pop surge thru the lightbulbs in my house during a close strike...
  • That sounds just like when a fighter jet during a sonic boom, The sudden pop is awesome!
