I was playing PCB for a while and decided to call it quits, but before getting some rest, I chose to get in a little time with another game. Since I haven't actually touched a stage in IN for a while, I decided to give Stage 4 a whirl (something I haven't done in ages). Somehow, on my second run, I was able to pull this off. Hooray noticeable increases in skill!
I could have kept playing with the aim of a no deaths no bombs run, but I decided to save myself from the insanity. Besides, this run is something to be very happy about, not something to think "damn, I could have done better." The meaning of life is to take it easy.
Anyway, Stage 4 is a tricky one (as you would expect in all of the Touhou games). The danmaku during the stage isn't as threatning as the other Stage 4s in the series, however, it still has a fair amount of difficulty and luckily no bullshit (wtf EoSD and MoF Stage 4...)
Marisa is a beast. Spell 81 is definitely her hardest card by a long shot, and a major cockblock at that (this is what I end up bombing). In my opinion, the next closest thing in difficulty is her 2nd noncard, the pattern that directly follows Spell 81. Holy hell that thing is a piece of shit, and I know that if I were to grind this stage out and actually capture Spell 81 in a run, I'd fumble there, and if not, well, there's plenty of other places to make an error. As a whole, Marisa is a very fun boss. Star danmaku \o/

Westernized Scrolling Shooters: Dodge the bullets and hit the enemies. Japanese Bullet Hells: Dodge the tidal wave, don't worry about aiming.

Man, this is a nice run, I was kinda expecting Asteroid Belt to be where you'd have to bomb, but that you'd get through all those tricky nonspells and the rest of her spells in the same run isn't bad. I always end up getting walled by those nonspells or messing up somewhere else myself. Marisa really makes up for the fact that the stage itself is fairly easy.
