When he said "welcome to the world of genius" I already feel unwelcome
  • The devotion of Kim Peeks' father to his son was so unconditional, selfless, and pure.
  • I once met a woman in a homeless shelter and watched her as she pencil sketched a very detailed portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth II as she looked on the day of her Coronation. She did this intricate portrait with her EYES CLOSED. She later told me that she never puts her signature on any of her portraits because she doesn't take credit for any of them. She told me; "They come from some other place."

I don't know how someone can be humble and cocky but the piano kid has found a balance between both

The children may be geniuses but the parents are the real heroes for always supporting them and being there for them.
  • Kim Peek passed away in 2009 and his father passed in 2014. He was such a brilliant person.

I absolutely love how majority of these parents are just allowing their kids to grow their talents, at the kids request, they're not forcing them into it like you see on most gifted kids shows

The mom of the first girl has a genuinely solid reason for her way of raising her child. Let them focus and harness their amazing talent to channel it towards something important in the future
  • One things about all these geniuses is they have supportive parents. A great gift.

I met Kim Peek twice. He remembered me the second time even though it had been a few years. He was a sweet, warm man with an amazing mind. His wonderful father’s sacrifice to be his full-time caretaker should be praised along with Kim’s memory!

I looked up Kim Peek and was devastated to learn that he died in 2009 from a heart attack and his father Fran died in 2014. Breaks my heart knowing they were trying to plan for Fran’s death and Kim’s care but instead Fran had to bury his son who he had cared for all his life 😔 RIP Fran and Kim Peek
  • I feel so sorry for Ariel. All he wanted was his fathers approval.. Also why is no one talking about how sweet Ben is? I’d love to be friends with him. He made me smile over and over again. All the best to you Ben. I hope you found your way ❤️
  • The world has never been short of geniuses, what is lacking is the eyes to discover geniuses. ❤

I feel so bad for that little boy at 31:23 -- he felt like he failed everybody and almost broke down crying. His standards are so high he won't accept how brilliant he is even after exhaustion and tiredness sets in. I wish I could tell him how wonderful he really was.

Imagine how much talent and passion would be in the world if our time wasnt wasted being put through school and then work. These kids were so lucky to be supported amd encouraged.

when the mom said that kids should focus their energy into field in which they are interested in. i agree 100%. people who have amazing skills like these practice them at such a young age they are a part of them into adulthood weather they know it or not.. those paintings were Beautiful btw!!
