  • @CoochieGremlin.
The fact all 3 bullets hit the same area and didn’t penetrate makes it more impressive
  • @Nytellem
That’s what makes the IronMan suit so amazing, it’s POSSIBLE but obviously way before it’s time.
  • The shrapnel thing is a real concern actual armorers had to deal with for a while now. Suits of plate armor often had a V-shaped ledge of metal on the chestplate to stop arrows from being deflected upwards into your chin and neck. Such an addition would be practical for the armor set and historically supported, but not exactly screen accurate.

Myth Busters left Adam, but Adam never left Myth Bustin. One thing I'd like to see tested is what happens to the energy of the round to the body.
  • @Artofficial1986
Seeing bullets just bounce off that thing is incredible! Adam you madman.
  • Well technically the Iron Man armor is made of gold- titanium alloy and the endoskeleton/exoskeleton underneath the plating but over Tony's body that gives the mobility and rigidity
  • @Jogyot3260
Adam Savage is like Bob Ross of invention
  • @amon_69
one of these days i'd like to watch a collab between adam and the hacksmith to see how good of a functional iron man armor can be built
  • @vektsilver35
the pure joy this video brings is nothing short of amazing.
  • @auburnsmith5610
in the movies he is sometimes shot with assault rifles, which penetrate more than pistols. i would love to see a test in which the armor is tested against some proper powerful guns.
  • @blackwing1362
The only reason the iron man suit is flexible is because it has so many panels that its basically scale mail. I bet if you devided up the panels a little bit more and made gaps where on the inside of joints, you should be able to get similar flexibility
  • @DD-zh3jj
Stopped .45 ACP is not what I expected. That’s amazing
  • @dantebond8124
I envy Adam Savage, he can do everything I can only hope and dream of.
  • @0815name0815
i love this so much, adams excitement is well deserved
  • bullet fragment "splashes" are called "spall". Modern body arm has a protective coating designed to capture the spall. It's much like rhino lining used on truck beds. It's basically a thick rubberized coating.
  • Closest thing you will come across to this type of armor being used in the field effectively is 17th century plate armor. Some of it was indeed tested against contemporary firepower, and it was a terrifying piece of technology for those who fought on the battlefield back then, protecting almost the entire body without compromising mobility. It might not look incredible or fantastic to those who know nothing about history, but to me there's nothing more impressive.
  • @AllDayBikes
The shot of him counting down behind the ballistic shields is just, so Myth Busters haha
  • @TiberiusRex182
