The worst thing Roman ever said was that she was bad at her job. Gerri has been the only one who is good at her job throughout all the seasons. She was CEO twice and I think when she said I am good at my job she meant it, because she's the only competent and consistent person throughout the show

"You are a weak monarch in a dangerous interregnum". That line delivered by Gerri is brilliant.
-
The way she realizes just by his face that he and kendall are trying to keep the company is just so good. And then so seriously she says "you can't beat the money... big tech is coming."
-
"Say it, or believe it?"
-
This episode was Roman spiraling, that line about wanting to be treated like his father was sad
-
i really liked J. Smith-Cameron in this scene. she's always great but that little eye twitch and lip quiver in this one. really subtle and awesome.
-
This episode Roman clearly showed why he could never run the company and why Logan never even considered him for such a position.
-
This child like tantrum from Roman because Gerri told him some hard truths (he's not Logan) cost him so much, the blackmail and ending up alone. He's still hung up on her, you see in the finale how he reacts when he sees her in the tape and seeing her arriving at Waystar sent him spiraling then he orders a martini that's Gerri's drink of choice, he smiles but it fades, it's not a happy smile. This was one of his worst mistakes, turning the only person that ever cared about him against him, he tried to fix it but he couldn't.. Gerri didn't forgive him and moved on, she got her huge payment and Tom will rehire her again, she played her cards really well. Gerri was also right he'd lose against Matsson, basically everything she said here is right but he couldn't stand the truth and threw it all away and there's no fixing this, she will never talk to him again, if he hadn't done this at least he wouldn't be totally alone now since the family is split.

J. Smith-Cameron's acting at 1:29 is fucking sublime. Goes from surprised and baffled, to pondering, then indignant that he'd even ask the question, then finally working up the only honest response she can give. All in a few seconds.
-
When Gerri said, "I'm good at my job" that is a foreshadowing moment. She's hurt and enraged at Roman for questioning her capabilities. She has the power to bring him down for the dick pics and the relentless harrassment for at least the last 4 years. Gerri realizes that she's on a sinking ship and she's going to bring Roman down and many others by the series end.

The way he pauses and says āWell maybe Iāll fire you, tooā is utterly chilling. One of the best delivered lines in the entire showās run.
-
1:38 "You don't treat me with sufficient respect and that's a problem" that cold look on Romans face settles in and then the music comes in and starts building literally along with the scene the rest of the way! I got chills when I watched this last night.
-
"you're minding shop" was the worst line she could of dropped lmao
-
Whoever casts these actors should make every casting choice in Hollywood in the future. Everyone in this show is such a phenomenon actor.
-
So Kendall backs Roman for firing these two and then Roman doesnāt back Kendall on his presentation cause shiv got in his head
-
Great acting by Roman you can see Gerrys line about how hes just minding shop until Matteson came is what tiped it over the edge and he decided to fire her
-
Most undderrated part of this scene: the beginning when Gerri says "I want to talk to you" Roman's automatic response is "I wanna (talk to you too)" before he sees that she's pissed š love the little details of this show
-
Roman,s eyes here are totally diff than usual

One part (of many) of this conversation i find interesting is that Roman wanted Gerri to tell him she BELIEVES he's as good as his dad. He wanted her to tell him what he wanted to hear. That small interaction is so emblematic of a lot of why the children are the way they are. They operate in this fiction because the money and the power they've grown up in has allowed them to live in this delusion where they can delusionally think that the world works exactly how they think it does. Gerri couldn't give him that because she's able to make that separation.
-
Gerri is SO taking him down for that.
