As someone who's been breeding for a shiny Dedenne for 3 whole days using the Masuda method, double tapping by looking over the spawn-boosted wild ones while I hatch eggs and STILL no luck... This run makes me feel like I'm doing something very wrong... T.T

Interesting to see the varying shiny luck in the comments! I found my cetoddle while trying to catch a sawsbuck! The poor thing ran up behind Sawsbuck in the middle of battle and nearly gave me a heart attack lmao. Also found two (2) Hawlucha while looking for the stakes... Plus a shiny Oinkologne while looking for a mon for my dex... and a Braviary in Area Zero while trying to get all the paradox mons to trade to my friend. Odds mean nothing if your luck sucks lmao

first shiny of the game was on accident. Was trying to do the dupe where you catch a pokemon and swap it with your box legend, and encountered a shiny igglybuff. Didn't even realize it was shiny till i encountered it

Pawmi was my first (and so far only) shiny in Violet! such a cute one. i'm considering shiny hunting the full dex since i now have just about every 'mon excluding the Scarlet-exclusive Area Zero 'mons, but the thought of it exhausts me LOL
