Employees throwing hands with rude customers is the best thing I've seen

"Chicken wings so good you'll rip a door off it's hinges to get" should be their catchphrase

The man in the tow truck is Josyah Brown, 24 Years old, and has been arrested for first- and second-degree assault as well as malicious destruction of property.

I was at a restaurant in Spain about 15 years ago, and a British couple were in there. They ordered a lavish meal, ate the entire meal then decided they didn't want to pay because it "Wasn't very good". Long story short, the manager of the restaurant ended up punching this man, the Police turned up and told them to pay or they would be arrested. I've always felt that was the best outcome of that situation.

The real tragedy is the fact that the employee had a baton stashed behind the counter, most likely because this behavior isn't unexpected. Our culture is fucked.
  • gets tenders instead of wings happily eats delicious tenders 15 minutes later "wait a minute"

I worked as a manager in fast food for years and have experienced crazy customers. These folks simply use fast food workers as easy targets for their misplaced anger about other things going on in their life. It's sad. Especially when you consider that a lot of teenagers and younger adults are the ones providing the customer service. There were several instances where I would've loved to have jumped over the counter at some of these people. What was most infuriating to me was how they would imply that the staff were beneath their intelligence with comments like "All you have to do is flip burgers and put condiments on it, how hard can it be?" Personally, I think that EVERYONE should be made to work in the customer service industry before venturing into other areas of work. It might teach a few people some lessons in common courtesy and how to treat others in a dignified manner despite their age, level of education or area of work.

I worked retail and food service and I promised myself I would NEVER work in there again. It’s like customers feel they own you. The disrespect is unreal. My hats off to anyone in customer service.

The fact he even offered his money back after he ate his entire meal is nuts, definitely did not need to do even the most civil aspect of this.

Dude has been arrested, charged with first and second degree assault and malicious intent

I gotta say that, even though this guy was 100% in the wrong and being a total d bag, that fact that he actually ripped the door off the hinges and attempted to then use the door as a weapon is borderline legendary.
  • I’ve worked in retail for nearly 4 years now. Seeing that worker fight the shitty man and smash his phone is an absolute dream at this point
  • @FunnyDude119
No way this guy wasn’t on drugs. I don’t see how else someone would order chicken tenders, eat them, and then 45 minutes later want chicken wings instead.

it blows my mind at the astounding amount of people willing to catch multiple felonies over fast food
  • @minibatman2.016
Sad how customers think they can abuse workers like they own them thinking their jobs will hold them back. They treat workers like they’re not even human. Nothing is worth doing such things for.

1 month update from a man who lives in the area: The criminal has been caught and put in jail. Justice has been served. The restaurant itself still has heavy damages to the front wall. It's been patched up but it's a temporary fix until they can apply a complete overhaul repair (it's absolutely needed, foundations were destroyed). Might as well toss this in as well: the food there is pretty great. The chicken is delicious and very reasonably priced. It's a real bang for your buck kind of deal. Good sides too, a wide variety of different menu items including desserts. Go spend a dime there when you can and help them out if you're in the area.
  • Crazy how the people just sit there and laugh while recording. Then have the gall to judge him for throwing his phone. What lowlifes. At least one guy TRIED to help.

I feel sorry for fast-food workers in this day and age. Back in college some 40+ years-ago, I worked in fast food. My boss was a great guy and told his employees that the customer is NOT always right, and that if we had done our job properly and been civil/reasonable with a complaining customer, he would back us up 100%. Over the years I was there, I saw our boss do exactly that. I'm afraid that today far too many management types value profit over anything and everything else and victimize their employees for no valid reason.
