“I am Alpharius. This is a lie.” - Alpharius, the first line in the book about him.
  • @astaven9439
For those unaware: In the earliest version of 40k, the 2nd and 11th legions were the "create your legion" sub-factions for the space marines. One traitor and one loyalist. When GW scrapped that, lore was made up to explain their absence.
  • Watched this video on the subway, guy next to me nudges me, asks "Who's your favourite?" "Orks." He stared at me, "That's not part of the Imperium" he said. "I hate humies" I replied. He stared right into my eyes and muttered "Heresy..." and we both chuckled. Fun encounter
  • The Horus Heresy books have helped give a much more tragic view of the World Eaters and Angron. When their father was returned to them, the Warhounds were given a damaged individual that they didn't know how to treat. My favourite dialogue is when Kharn talks about his brothers accepting the butcher's nails onto themselves in the hope of being closer to their broken father. It didn't work..
  • My father use to play a lot with Blood Marines. When ever one of his friends started to annoying him about something he will pull out a Horus picture an start to say: You know, right now you are looking a lot like him..

It's incredibly hilarious how the 1st legion makes you question their apparent loyalty while the 20th makes you question their apparent betrayal.

I love how the Salamanders, The ones who use flamethrowers, A weapon that is commonly attributed to maniacs, Psychopaths and those with little to no care for life in general. Are probably the legion that have the MOST compassion for those around them and the most well adjusted.

4:55 Having seen the new "mini" I can safely say that, YES, in fact, he is the living embodiment of the profile chad-face. In fact, his beard is somehow even MORE CHADLY
  • @Draco0100
"The only thing keeping their population in check was the suicide rate" THATS SO ACCURATE IT HURTS
  • Can’t wait to finally learn about the second and eleventh legions

Back in the day when Space Marine had an active multiplayer I heard a story from a friend about a clan he talked to in a party chat. At some point he asked them what they’re called to which one said, “we are alpharius.” Then the whole party in unision echoed and answered as one, “we are all alpharius.” That story gives me a chuckle every time I think about it.
  • Angron is to me the saddest primarch he didn't become what he was meant to be its theorized he was meant to be a support of sorts but the nails changed him
  • The Black Rage is something that even Blood Angels players can feel if you tell them they painted their Blood Ravens wrong.
  • @thechief11oo
Each primarch has a special power Angron was an empath, magnus can shoot the second best mind bullets in the galaxy, sanguinius can fly, perturabo can take anything apart and put it back together, while Guilliman has the greatest power, the ability to use both hemispheres of his brain at the same time.
  • There is no better way to describe The Iron Warriors than “they are bitter incarnate, Perturabo and The Iron Warriors don’t serve the chaos gods because they like them! They serve them because FUCK YOU!” 🤣🤣 Peter Turbo ftw 🙌
  • @Birdo4004
When I think of the Ravenguard I don’t think of a faction that’s stealthy. I think of a faction that’s patient. The ability to hide their presence until the right time comes or when you do see them it will be too late
  • @giloguy101
Salamanders are easily my favourite simply for the sheer contrast of the chapter whose favourite method of fighting is either brutally burning you to ashes with Flamers, Painfully melting you to slag with Melta guns or just violently bashing your head in with thunder hammers....are the faction who not only cherish innocent life, but also encourage their members to aid in civil and community service and generally are just big (if extremely freaky looking) teddy bears

"Why do I still live? What more do you want from me? I gave everything I had to you, to them. Look what they've made of our dream. This bloated, rotting carcass of an empire is driven not by reason and hope but by fear, hate and ignorance. Better that we had all burned in the fires of Horus' ambition than live to see this. We failed, Father. You failed your sons and we in turn failed you. And now, to compound our arrogance and vainglory, we have failed all of them too. Did Horus not say you sought godhood? He built his rebellion on that claim. Oh, how he would gloat and laugh at the state of the Imperium now.” - Roboute Guilliman, upon learning about the state of the Imperium after being in suspended animation for ten thousand years.
  • I love how each legion is so uniquely different from one another, yet have enough similarities to know they are all space marines.
  • For more info on The Night Lords. There first couple legions came from Terra(aka Earth), but they came from the deepest depths of Terra’s prison systems. The Night Lords were the sons and daughters of psychopathic criminals and would often be spotted as little dark haired children, sneaking around and stalking whatever unfortunate soul would find them self down there. They were called children of the night. The Emperor wished to recruit them into The Night Lords and Konrad had trained them to be stoic killers that would commit the most egregious acts of violence and murder to inflict fear into The Imperiums enemies. Even before they all became just evil criminals with super strength in armor, they all had the same twisted sense of justice that Konrad had, and would butcher and massacre the populations of entire worlds before broadcasting their carnage to other planets. It wasn’t rare for some planets to just surrender to them before they even arrived on the next planet. But since Konrad hailed from Nostramo, that world became the main planet for Night Lord recruitment, which is what poisoned the Night Lords legion with murderers, criminals and rapists.
