  • Toad with the lead singer of Gin Blossoms covering a song by R.E.M This is like a perfect encapsulation of my childhood
  • The perfect mashup no one saw coming but all of us needed. Thank you Toad & friends!
  • As a retired locomotive engineer, I totally LOVE this remake of my favorite R.E.M. song from not one, but THREE of my favorite bands from the 90's. All you guys totally NAILED it! Now, put this on an album as soon as you can!

Toad can still kick ass. Love this band, always did always will.
  • @donsolo96
My second favorite band all-time doing a cover of my second favorite song from my favorite band of all-time is quite a treat. Loved hearing it live when my wife and I saw Toad in Novato a few weeks ago!

Oh WOW!!! I must say that I would pay hundreds of dollars for this to be expanded to a double album of REM covers. Just imagine a couple of hours of this, So. Central Rain, Night swimming, Rockville, etc-bow the letter, and on and on. Oh, and then get REM to do a selection of all y’all’s songs. Hearing Michael Stipe do Jam or She Cried, or Found Out About You…. well I would listen without pause Thank you all for posting this.
  • @debswatching
It’s like a perfect circle. REM — Toad — Gin Blossoms.

This is fantastic. Great cover of a great song. Dean jamming Mike Mills baselines is a treat.

    Toad and Gin—now THAT’S a great combo

Two of my all-time favorite bands, R.E.M. and Toad the Wet Sprocket–so perfect!!
  • @Tensen01
Man, no love in here for Vertical Horizon? Well I'll give it! I love VH, and combined with Gin Blossoms? Hell yeah.

Tonight marks the 30th anniversary of the night that I was a victim of SA. I got through those next few days by listening to Dulcinea, especially “Begin” on repeat. Toad will always be the soundtrack of my life for so many things, but most of all, it will be a reminder of comfort during a devastating time in my life.

I can't believe they're all on tour together!! It's the most perfect thing in the world!
  • @lorif4274
Seriously need this on Spotify! I love REM and this exceeds their original! Simply amazing! 🤩
  • Toad the Wet Sprocket and the Gin Blossoms are 2 of my favorites.... Damn they are the Best... In the 90's, I Loved getting in my car and turning the radio, praying 1 of these 2 bands were on.. I could listen to their music all day everyday....

This song is the best of my young childhood. I think I was 8 when Fables of the Reconstruction was released. But having an aunt in college at Tulane University, this was a prominent song during my youth. Wonderful cover, excellent sound. Toad, Gin Blossoms and VH all sound fantastic on this. Such a great song, done in a way that does it justice.
  • Oh my god, my introduction to 90s music was, in order: Hey Jealousy & Something's Always Wrong so amazing to see both TTWS and the Gin Blossoms performing together. Absolute chills!
  • @mpkincaid
Love it! Watched TTWS play Driver 8 at the Kalispell concert last month. REM would be proud of this cover.
