When I was in college way 1978 Spanish was one of our subjects every semester I studied Business administration. I have taken spanish 1,2,3, and 4n. Our professor was very fluent in Spanish. Mrs Marqueda truly spanish. Love those times.

Spanish of the Official Language in the First Republic of the Philippines but during the Commonwealth Republic of the Philippines It becomes English and I hope Filipino, English, Spanish will the official Language of the Philippines

It's just Old English, not exactly religious. You might think it's "religious" because they use a lot of "thy" and "thine" which you find in the King James Version Bible. I think you're referring to the Commonwealth Era version which was basically written (and sung) by Americans if you noticed.
